determining an anti-lock braking strategy as a function of said distance differential; and
applying said anti-lock braking strategy as a function of said distance differential wherein an anti-lock braking system optimizes said braking strategy between a determined stopping a distance and vehicle stability control in response to said distance differential

An anti-lock braking strategy is determined as a function of the distance differential. The anti-locking braking strategy is applied as a function of the distance differential.

determining a maximum distance required to stop between said driven vehicle and said target;
determining if said distance available to stop is greater than said maximum distance required to stop; and

an adaptive speed control system that monitors a speed of at least one target in relation to a driven vehicle; and
