a plurality of staples; and
first and second pluralities of staple drivers, wherein each staple driver supports at least one staple and drives the at least one staple into the staple forming surface of the anvil when the staple driver is actuated, and wherein the first plurality of staple drivers are on the raised portion of the stepped lower surface of the channel and the second plurality of staple drivers are on the lowered portion of the stepped lower surface of the channel. - View Dependent Claims (14, 15, 16)

a plurality of staples; and
