13. A method comprising
providing a tool comprising a shaft member having an elongated axis and a cutting blade carried by the shaft member and project radially outward of the elongated axis into contact with cancellous bone, the cutting blade being capable of cutting cancellous bone in a path about the elongated axis in response to rotation of the shaft member within cancellous bone, establishing a percutaneous access path leading into a cancellous bone volume, introducing the tool through the access path, and rotating the shaft to cut cancellous bone in a path about the elongated axis.
