Abstract

A personalized notice pertaining to financial products or services is provided, including a method and system for preparing the same. The financial product and/or financial services are associated with a set of separate descriptions, characteristics and/or identifications, any one of which may be presented within a personalized content section of the personalized communication documents. The notices are generated automatically by a computing system such that different consumer entities can be provided with different personalized content for a particular product/service.

Claims

1. A method for automatically providing personalized notices over an electronic:

network concerning one or more financial products or services comprising;

a) providing a first database containing client information for a client, said client information including both client identification information and client account information for a financial product or service;

b) generating variable information for said client relating to said financial service, which variable information varies from client to client based on said client identification information and said client account information;

c) providing a first software routine at a computing system coupled to said first database and configured to prepare a first electronic communication for said client suitable for transmission over an electronic network, said first electronic communication comprising a first personalized notice concerning said first financial product or service;

wherein said first personalized notice includes at least both said variable information and said client identification information;

d) delivering said first electronic communication by electronic mail through said electronic network to each client.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein said variable information is also based on prior responses provided by said client.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein said variable information is also based on client purchasing information associated with said client account information.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein said client purchasing information includes one or more transactions.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein said variable information is also based on client assets or liabilities associated with said client account information.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein said personalized notice is provided along with a host vehicle which contains banking, insurance, security, investment and/or credit statement information.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein steps (b) and (c) are repeated for a second financial service for said client.

8. The method of claim 1, further including a step:

(e) processing a response from said client to said first electronic communication.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein steps (b) and (c) are repeated to generate a second personalized electronic communication which is communicated by electronic mail through said electronic network to said client.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein said first electronic communication further comprises in part at least instructions relating to a first electronic communication response option.

11. The method of claim 8, wherein said computing system is further configured to automatically engage in a continuing electronic exchange with said consumer entity until a determination is made by said computing system that further automated personalized notices are not required.

12. The method of claim 1 wherein said variable information is determined based on one or more transactions recorded in a database associated with said client.

13. The method of claim 1 wherein a succession of one or more second personalized notices are provided in an order determined by which first financial service is presented in said first electronic communication.

14. The method of claim 1, wherein an electronic record is created for said first electronic communication and follow-up responses from said client.

15. The method of claim 1 wherein said first or a subsequent personalized notice includes at least one or more of separate descriptions, characteristics and/or identifications associated with said at least first financial service which can be varied between clients.

16. A method according to claim 1 wherein some of the variable information specific to each of the clients includes data that is shared by two or more clients.

17. The method of claim 1, wherein said client can specify one or more communications delivery options to be used for said personalized notices.

18. The method of claim 17, wherein the communications delivery options comprise the type of personalized notices to be delivered and/or the scheduling of successive personalized notices.

19. The method of claim 1, wherein said variable information includes client account balance information.

20. The method of claim 1 wherein said client identification can include one or more of a name, a physical address and/or an account number.

21. The method of claim 1, wherein one or more of steps (b), (c), or (d) is based on one or more pre-defined events and/or one or more pre-defined criteria.

22. The method of claim 1, wherein one or more of steps (a)-(d) is performed by a third party remotely located second computing system linked to said computing system

23. The method of claim 1, wherein one or more of steps (a)-(d) are performed within an automated process without the need for human intervention between any step.

24. The method of claim 1 wherein one or more of steps (a)-(d) are performed within a single automated process.

25. The method of claim 1 wherein the variable information is automatically calculated and/or derived.

26. A method for automatically providing personalized notices over an electronic network concerning financial products or services comprising:

a) providing a first database containing client information for a client, said client information including both client identification information and client account information for a financial product or service;

b) generating variable information for said client relating to said financial product or service, which variable information varies from client to client based on said client identification information and said client account information;

c) generating host information for said client, which host information includes at least statement information based on said client account information;

d) providing a first software routine at a computing system coupled to said first database and configured to combine said variable information with said host information to prepare a first electronic host vehicle for said client suitable for transmission over an electronic network, said first electronic host vehicle comprising a personalized notice concerning said first financial product or service;

wherein said personalized notice includes at least said variable information, said client identification information and said statement information;

e) delivering said first electronic host vehicle to each client.

27. The method of claim 26 wherein said statement information is for a bank account and/or a credit card account.

28. A method for automatically providing personalized notices over an electronic network concerning one or more financial products or services comprising:

a) providing a first database containing financial product or service content associated with at least a first financial product or service;

b) providing a first software routine at a computing system coupled to said first database and configured to prepare a first electronic communication for clients suitable for transmission over an electronic network, said electronic communication comprising information relating to an offering for said at least first financial product or service;

said first electronic communication comprising in part at least instructions relating to a first electronic communication response option;

c) providing a second software routine at the computing system configured to receive one or more variable electronic communication responses from at least some clients based on such clients selecting said at least one electronic communication response option;

d) providing a second database containing client information for those clients who are also existing clients, said client information including both client identification information and client account information for said first financial product or service;

e) generating variable information for said client relating to said financial service, which variable information varies from client to client based on said one or more variable electronic communication responses received from such client;

f) providing a third software routine at said computing system coupled to said second database and configured to prepare a second electronic communication for said client suitable for transmission over said electronic network, said second electronic communication comprising a personalized notice concerning said first financial product or service;

wherein said personalized notice includes at least both said variable information and said client identification information;

g) delivering said first electronic communication by email through said electronic network to each client.

29. A system for automatically providing personalized notices over an electronic network concerning one or more financial products or services comprising:

a computing system;

one or more electronic databases coupled to the computing system, including a first database containing client information for a client, said client information including both client identification information and client account information for a financial product or service;

one or more software routines executing on the computing system which are adapted to;

a) generate variable information for said client relating to said financial service, which variable information varies from client to client based on said client identification information and said client account information;

b) provide a first software routine at a computing system coupled to said first database and configured to prepare a first electronic communication for said client suitable for transmission over an electronic network, said first electronic communication comprising a first personalized notice concerning said first financial product or service;

wherein said first personalized notice includes at least both said variable information and said client identification information;

c) deliver said first electronic communication by electronic mail through said electronic network to each client.

30. A system for automatically providing personalized notices over an electronic network concerning one or more financial products or services comprising:

a computing system;

one or more electronic databases coupled to the computing system, including a first database containing client information for a client, said client information including both client identification information and client account information for a financial product or service;

one or more software routines executing on the computing system which are adapted to;

a) generate variable information for said client relating to said financial product or service, which variable information varies from client to client based on said client identification information and said client account information;

b) generate host information for said client, which host information includes at least statement information based on said client account information;

c) combine said variable information with said host information to prepare a first electronic host vehicle for said client suitable for transmission over an electronic network, said first electronic host vehicle comprising a personalized notice concerning said first financial product or service;

wherein said personalized notice includes at least said variable information, said client identification information and said statement information;

d) deliver said first electronic host vehicle to each client.

31. A system for automatically providing personalized notices over an electronic network concerning one or more financial products or services comprising:

a computing system;

a first database containing financial product or service content associated with at least a first financial product or service;

a first software routine executing on said computing system that is coupled to said first database and configured to prepare a first electronic communication for clients suitable for transmission over an electronic network, said electronic communication comprising information relating to an offering for said at least first financial product or service;

said first electronic communication comprising in part at least instructions relating to a first electronic communication response option;

a second software routine at the computing system configured to receive one or more variable electronic communication responses from at least some clients based on such clients selecting said at least one electronic communication response option;

a second database containing client information for those clients who are also existing clients, said client information including both client identification information and client account information for said first financial product or service;

wherein said second software routine generates variable information for said client relating to said financial service, which variable information varies from client to client based on said one or more variable electronic communication responses received from such client;

a third software routine at said computing system coupled to said second database and configured to prepare a second electronic communication for said client suitable for transmission over said electronic network, said second electronic communication comprising a personalized notice concerning said first financial product or service;

wherein said personalized notice includes at least both said variable information and said client identification information;

a fourth software routine configured to deliver said first electronic communication by email through said electronic network to each client.
