Abstract

A communication terminal used in a mobile communication system complying with a carrier sense multiple access scheme is disclosed. The communication terminal includes: a receiving unit configured to receive a wireless packet transmitted by another communication terminal or a base station; a determination unit configured to determine periodic transmission timing of the communication terminal based on determination criterion information included in the wireless packet; and a transmission unit configured to periodically transmit wireless packets to the base station based on the transmission timing.

Claims

1. A communication terminal used in a mobile communication system complying with a carrier sense multiple access scheme, the communication terminal comprising:

a receiving unit configured to receive a wireless packet transmitted by another communication terminal or a base station;

a determination unit configured to determine periodic transmission timing of the communication terminal based on determination criterion information included in the wireless packet; and

a transmission unit configured to periodically transmit wireless packets to the base station based on the transmission timing.

The communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the determination unit extracts a destination address of the wireless packet that is sent from the base station to the another terminal, compares an address of the another terminal with an address of the communication terminal so as to determine the transmission timing.

The communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the determination unit extracts information indicating a number of connecting terminals included in a beacon as the wireless packet sent from the base station so as to determine the transmission timing such that the communication terminal performs transmission after a connected terminal transmits a packet.

4. The communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the determination unit compares received signal quality that is reported to the base station by the another terminal with received signal quality of the communication terminal so as to determine the transmission timing.

5. The communication terminal as claimed in claim 1, wherein the communication terminal sends a re-synchronization request signal to the base station and to the another terminal according to a packet error rate that exceeds a predetermined value.

6. The communication terminal as claimed in claim 5, wherein the determination redetermines the transmission timing according to a re-synchronization signal received from the another terminal.

7. A communication method used in a mobile communication system complying with a carrier sense multiple access scheme, comprising the steps of:

receiving a wireless packet transmitted by another communication terminal or a base station;

determining periodic transmission timing of the communication terminal based on determination criterion information included in the wireless packet; and

transmitting wireless packets periodically to the base station based on the transmission timing.
