Abstract

An illuminated flying disc device that can be used in low-light conditions to play an organized game similar to golf or croquet. The disc is aerodynamically designed with lights around it that can blink or remain on for effect. Poles that act as golf holes or croquet rings come in contact with the flying disc to effect a score. Scores are kept according to the number of throws necessary for the contestant to contact a lighted pole the lowest score being the winner.

Claims

1. A lighted airborne disc game for playing an airborne version of croquet or golf at night or in low light conditions, comprising:

means for increasing the aerodynamic capabilities of the disc by reducing air resistance over the top surface;

means for holding the power source that powers the lights;

means for conducting electrical power between the power source and the lights, electrically connected to said means for holding the power source that powers the lights;

means for the purpose of serving as a target for scoring purposes and as a mounting surface for light (s);

means for securing the pole into the ground so that it stays stationary and upright when hit by the flying disc, securely connected to said means for the purpose of serving as a target for scoring purposes and as a mounting surface for light (s);

means for acting as a platform for foot pressure to press the ground anchor into the ground, rigidly connected to said means for securing the pole into the ground so that it stays stationary and upright when hit by the flying disc;

means for locating the pole in low light conditions so that the player knows where the target is, rigidly connected to said means for the purpose of serving as a target for scoring purposes and as a mounting surface for light (s);

means for indicating a contact from the flying disc. this light will momentarily blink on and off after being disturbed by a contact from the flying disc, rigidly connected to said means for the purpose of serving as a target for scoring purposes and as a mounting surface for light (s);

means for securing the pole in an upright position even when struck by the flying disc. the base may be filled with a removable substance such as shot, sand or a liquid to increase its weight and ability to secure the target pole;

means for filling the base with a heavy material such as sand, shot or liquid and then securing that material into the base;

means for providing a fill path to the base and a means to secure the opening of said fill tube by providing threads or a place to press a plug into, threadably connected to said means for filling the base with a heavy material such as sand, shot or liquid and then securing that material into the base, and rigidly connected to said means for securing the pole in an upright position even when struck by the flying disc. the base may be filled with a removable substance such as shot, sand or a liquid to increase its weight and ability to secure the target pole;

means for protecting the LED light and adding a greater luminance to the light;

means for providing a location to place the power source, attach a light and cover to locate the starting point of each “

hole”

in the game, sealably connected to said means for protecting the LED light and adding a greater luminance to the light;

means for providing a low light indicator of where the t is located, replaceably connected to said means for providing a location to place the power source, attach a light and cover to locate the starting point of each “

hole”

in the game; and

means for securing the battery into the lighted t and providing a connection for the battery to the printed circuitry, electrically connected to said means for providing a low light indicator of where the t is located, and rigidly connected to said means for providing a location to place the power source, attach a light and cover to locate the starting point of each “

hole”

in the game.

2. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for increasing the aerodynamic capabilities of the disc by reducing air resistance over the top surface comprises a circular, rigid aerodynamic ridges.

3. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for holding the power source that powers the lights comprises a rigid power source holder.

4. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for conducting electrical power between the power source and the lights comprises a conveys energy, conductive printed circuit.

5. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for the purpose of serving as a target for scoring purposes and as a mounting surface for light (s) comprises a rigid pole.

6. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for securing the pole into the ground so that it stays stationary and upright when hit by the flying disc comprises a pointed, rigid ground stake, having means for attaching pole.

7. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for acting as a platform for foot pressure to press the ground anchor into the ground comprises a rigid foot press.

8. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for locating the pole in low light conditions so that the player knows where the target is comprises a diode, translucent cover, emitting light location LED light.

9. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for indicating a contact from the flying disc. this light will momentarily blink on and off after being disturbed by a contact from the flying disc comprises a diode, translucent cover, light emitting contact indication LED light.

10. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for securing the pole in an upright position even when struck by the flying disc. the base may be filled with a removable substance such as shot, sand or a liquid to increase its weight and ability to secure the target pole comprises a container, sealable, rigid, weighted hard surface base, having a place to secure a fill tube and an opening to insert weight and a location to secure a pole too.

11. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for filling the base with a heavy material such as sand, shot or liquid and then securing that material into the base comprises a cover, threads, rigid cap.

12. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for providing a fill path to the base and a means to secure the opening of said fill tube by providing threads or a place to press a plug into comprises a tube, rigid, threaded, cylindrical fill tube.

13. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for protecting the LED light and adding a greater luminance to the light comprises a translucent, doomed, rigid globe.

14. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for providing a location to place the power source, attach a light and cover to locate the starting point of each “

hole”

in the game comprises a circular, flat, weighted base, having an opening for a power source and an internal location for a printed circuit and a location to attach a LED and a location to attach a globe.

15. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for providing a low light indicator of where the t is located comprises a diode, translucent cover, light emitting t light.

16. The lighted airborne disc game in accordance with claim 1, wherein said means for securing the battery into the lighted t and providing a connection for the battery to the printed circuitry comprises a rigid t power source holder, having a place to secure a power source.

17. A lighted airborne disc game for playing an airborne version of croquet or golf at night or in low light conditions, comprising:

a circular, rigid aerodynamic ridges, for increasing the aerodynamic capabilities of the disc by reducing air resistance over the top surface;

a rigid power source holder, for holding the power source that powers the lights;

a conveys energy, conductive printed circuit, for conducting electrical power between the power source and the lights, electrically connected to said power source holder;

a rigid pole, for the purpose of serving as a target for scoring purposes and as a mounting surface for light (s);

a pointed, rigid ground stake, having means for attaching pole, for securing the pole into the ground so that it stays stationary and upright when hit by the flying disc, securely connected to said pole;

a rigid foot press, for acting as a platform for foot pressure to press the ground anchor into the ground, rigidly connected to said ground stake;

a diode, translucent cover, emitting light location LED light, for locating the pole in low light conditions so that the player knows where the target is, rigidly connected to said pole;

a diode, translucent cover, light emitting contact indication LED light, for indicating a contact from the flying disc. this light will momentarily blink on and off after being disturbed by a contact from the flying disc, rigidly connected to said pole;

a container, sealable, rigid, weighted hard surface base, having a place to secure a fill tube and an opening to insert weight and a location to secure a pole too, for securing the pole in an upright position even when struck by the flying disc. the base may be filled with a removable substance such as shot, sand or a liquid to increase its weight and ability to secure the target pole;

a cover, threads, rigid cap, for filling the base with a heavy material such as sand, shot or liquid and then securing that material into the base;

a tube, rigid, threaded, cylindrical fill tube, for providing a fill path to the base and a means to secure the opening of said fill tube by providing threads or a place to press a plug into, threadably connected to said cap, and rigidly connected to said hard surface base;

a translucent, doomed, rigid globe, for protecting the LED light and adding a greater luminance to the light;

a circular, flat, weighted base, having an opening for a power source and an internal location for a printed circuit and a location to attach a LED and a location to attach a globe, for providing a location to place the power source, attach a light and cover to locate the starting point of each “

hole”

in the game, sealably connected to said globe;

a diode, translucent cover, light emitting t light, for providing a low light indicator of where the t is located, replaceably connected to said base; and

a rigid t power source holder, having a place to secure a power source, for securing the battery into the lighted t and providing a connection for the battery to the printed circuitry, electrically connected to said T light, and rigidly connected to said base.

18. The lighted airborne disc game as recited in claim 17, wherein said hard surface base is moldable.

19. The lighted airborne disc game as recited in claim 17, wherein said cap is moldable.

20. The lighted airborne disc game as recited in claim 18, wherein said cap is moldable.

21. A lighted airborne disc game for playing an airborne version of croquet or golf at night or in low light conditions, comprising:

a circular, rigid aerodynamic ridges, for increasing the aerodynamic capabilities of the disc by reducing air resistance over the top surface;

a rigid power source holder, for holding the power source that powers the lights;

a conveys energy, conductive printed circuit, for conducting electrical power between the power source and the lights, electrically connected to said power source holder;

a rigid pole, for the purpose of serving as a target for scoring purposes and as a mounting surface for light (s);

a pointed, rigid ground stake, having means for attaching pole, for securing the pole into the ground so that it stays stationary and upright when hit by the flying disc, securely connected to said pole;

a rigid foot press, for acting as a platform for foot pressure to press the ground anchor into the ground, rigidly connected to said ground stake;

a diode, translucent cover, emitting light location LED light, for locating the pole in low light conditions so that the player knows where the target is, rigidly connected to said pole;

a diode, translucent cover, light emitting contact indication LED light, for indicating a contact from the flying disc. this light will momentarily blink on and off after being disturbed by a contact from the flying disc, rigidly connected to said pole;

a container, sealable, rigid, moldable, weighted hard surface base, having a place to secure a fill tube and an opening to insert weight and a location to secure a pole too, for securing the pole in an upright position even when struck by the flying disc. the base may be filled with a removable substance such as shot, sand or a liquid to increase its weight and ability to secure the target pole;

a cover, threads, rigid, moldable cap, for filling the base with a heavy material such as sand, shot or liquid and then securing that material into the base;

a tube, rigid, threaded, cylindrical fill tube, for providing a fill path to the base and a means to secure the opening of said fill tube by providing threads or a place to press a plug into, threadably connected to said cap, and rigidly connected to said hard surface base;

a translucent, doomed, rigid globe, for protecting the LED light and adding a greater luminance to the light;

a circular, flat, weighted base, having an opening for a power source and an internal location for a printed circuit and a location to attach a LED and a location to attach a globe, for providing a location to place the power source, attach a light and cover to locate the starting point of each “

in the game, sealably connected to said globe;

a diode, translucent cover, light emitting t light, for providing a low light indicator of where the t is located, replaceably connected to said base; and

a rigid t power source holder, having a place to secure a power source, for securing the battery into the lighted t and providing a connection for the battery to the printed circuitry, electrically connected to said T light, and rigidly connected to said base.
