1. A method for diagnosis, comprising:
- receiving from a sensor coupled to a body of a patient a photoplethysmograph signal, which is indicative of blood flow in the body;
processing the photoplethysmograph signal so as to identify at least one irregularity in a heart rhythm of the patient;
making a record indicating a time of occurrence of the at least one irregularity; and
processing the record so as to diagnose a pathological cardiac condition of the patient.

Abstract
A method for diagnosis includes receiving from a sensor coupled to a body of a patient a photoplethysmograph signal, which is indicative of blood flow in the body. The photoplethysmograph signal is processed so as to identify at least one irregularity in a heart rhythm of the patient. A record indicating a time of occurrence of the at least one irregularity is made and processed so as to diagnose a pathological cardiac condition of the patient.

9. Apparatus for diagnosis, comprising:
-
a sensor, which is configured to be coupled to a body of a patient and to output a photoplethysmograph signal, which is indicative of blood flow in the body; and
a processor, which is coupled to process the photoplethysmograph signal so as to identify at least one irregularity in a heart rhythm of the patient, to make a record indicating a time of occurrence of the at least one irregularity, and to process the record so as to diagnose a pathological cardiac condition of the patient. - View Dependent Claims (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16)

A computer software product, comprising a computer-readable medium in which program instructions are stored, which instructions, when read by a computer, cause the computer to receive a photoplethysmograph signal, which is indicative of arterial blood flow in a body or a patient, and to process the photoplethysmograph signal so as to identify at least one irregularity in a heart rhythm of the patient, to make a record indicating a time of occurrence of the at least one irregularity, and to process the record so as to diagnose a pathological cardiac condition of the patient.
