1. A method for tracking commercials that are provided to an audience by a content provider, the method comprising:
- presenting a plurality of advertisement campaigns to a user, wherein the plurality of advertisement campaigns includes at least one customizable advertisement campaign that is selectable by the user;
receiving instructions from the user to assemble a first version of a completed commercial and a second version of the completed commercial using the plurality of advertisement campaigns;
transmitting the first version of the completed commercial to a first content provider and the second version of the completed commercial to a second content provider; and
tracking the number of transmissions of the first version of the completed commercial and the number of transmissions of the second version of the completed commercial.

the plurality of advertisement campaigns includes at least one customizable advertisement campaign that is selectable by the user;
the at least one customizable advertisement campaign includes a plurality of media slots, each media slot is configured to receive one or more media segments; and
metadata is associated with the one or more media segments;
in response to the user selecting the at least one customizable advertisement campaign, presenting options associated with the at least one customizable advertisement campaign to the user;
retrieving at least one media segment from a database, wherein the at least one media segment is retrieved by correlating the selected options to the metadata associated with the media segments; and

18. A method for preparing commercials that are provided to an audience by a content provider, the method comprising:

presenting a plurality of advertisement campaigns to a user, wherein the plurality of advertisement campaigns includes at least one non-customizable advertisement campaign and at least one customizable advertisement campaign;
retrieving historical information on the user, wherein the historical information comprises at least one of;
previously selected advertisement campaigns, previously selected customization options relating to the advertisement campaigns, previously retrieved media segments, previously assembled commercials, feedback from content providers on the previously assembled commercials, and feedback from the audience on the previously assembled commercials; and
presenting recommended options to the user for assembling a commercial based on the historical information, wherein the recommended options include at least one of;
a recommended advertisement campaign, a recommended non-customizable advertisement campaign, a recommended customizable advertisement campaign, a recommended completed commercial, and recommended semantic criteria. - View Dependent Claims (19)

a processor at least partially executing a media content management application that is configured to;
present a plurality of advertisement campaigns to a user, wherein the plurality of advertisement campaigns includes at least one customizable advertisement campaign that is selectable by the user;
receive instructions from the user to assemble a first version of a completed commercial and a second version of the completed commercial using the plurality of advertisement campaigns;
transmit the first version of the completed commercial to a first content provider and the second version of the completed commercial to a second content provider; and
track the number of transmissions of the first version of the completed commercial and the number of transmissions of the second version of the completed commercial.

21. A system for tracking media content, the system comprising:
a processor at least partially executing a media content management application that is configured to;
present a plurality of advertisement campaigns to a user, wherein;
the plurality of advertisement campaigns includes at least one customizable advertisement campaign that is selectable by the user;
the at least one customizable advertisement campaign includes a plurality of media slots, each media slot is configured to receive one or more media segments; and
metadata is associated with the one or more media segments;
in response to the user selecting the at least one customizable advertisement campaign, present options associated with the at least one customizable advertisement campaign to the user;
retrieve at least one media segment from a database, wherein the at least one media segment is retrieved by correlating the selected options to the metadata associated with the media segments; and
track the number of times the at least one media segment is retrieved from the database for insertion into the at least one customizable advertisement campaign to generate a completed commercial.

22. A system for preparing commercials that are provided to an audience by a content provider, the system comprising:
a processor at least partially executing a media content management application that is configured to;
present a plurality of advertisement campaigns to a user, wherein the plurality of advertisement campaigns includes at least one non-customizable advertisement campaign and at least one customizable advertisement campaign;
retrieve historical information on the user, wherein the historical information comprises at least one of;
previously selected advertisement campaigns, previously selected customization options relating to the advertisement campaigns, previously retrieved media segments, previously assembled commercials, feedback from content providers on the previously assembled commercials, and feedback from the audience on the previously assembled commercials; and
present recommended options to the user for assembling a commercial based on the historical information, wherein the recommended options include at least one of;
a recommended advertisement campaign, a recommended non-customizable advertisement campaign, a recommended customizable advertisement campaign, a recommended completed commercial, and recommended semantic criteria.
