Abstract

A computer implemented system can obtain information for multiple RFID edge servers and their associated RFID edge readers The system can provide a centralized monitor for the multiple RFID edge servers and the associated RFID readers.

Claims

1. A computer implemented system that obtains information for multiple RFID edge servers and their associated RFID edge devices, the system providing a centralized monitor for the multiple RFID edge servers and the associated RFID devices.

2. The computer implemented system of claim 1, wherein the :

RFID devices include RFID readers.

3. The computer implemented system of claim 1, wherein the system obtains state information by polling the RFID edge servers.

4. The computer implemented system of claims 3, wherein the system creates alerts based on the state information.

5. The computer implemented system of claim 1, wherein the system obtains operating metrics from the RFID edge servers.

6. The computer implemented system of claim 5, wherein the operating metrics are graphically displayed versus time.

7. The computer implemented system of claim 1, wherein the monitor can be used to control the multiple RFID edge servers and the associated RFID readers.

8. The computer implemented system of claims 1, wherein the monitor is part of a console.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the monitor is displayed on a web browser.

10. A computer readable medium including code for:

obtaining information for multiple RFID edge servers and associated RFID devices; and

providing a centralized monitor for the multiple RFID edge servers and the associated RFID devices.

11. The computer implemented system of claim 10, wherein the RFID devices include RFID readers.

12. The computer readable medium of claim 10, further comprising code to obtain state information by polling the RFID edge servers.

13. The computer readable medium of claims 12, further comprising code to creates alerts based on the state information.

14. The computer readable medium of claim 10, further comprising code to obtain operating metrics from the RFID edge servers.

15. The computer readable medium of claim 14, wherein the operating metrics are graphically displayed versus time.

16. The computer readable medium of claim 10, wherein the monitor can be used to control the multiple RFID edge servers and the associated RFID readers.

17. The computer readable medium of claims 10, wherein the monitor is part of a console

20. A computer implemented method comprising:

obtaining information for multiple RFID edge servers and associated RFID devices; and

providing a controlled monitor for the multiple RFID edge servers and the associated RFID devices.

21. The computer implemented system of claim 20, wherein the RFID devices include RFID readers.

22. The computer implemented method of claim 20, further comprising obtaining state information by polling the RFID edge servers.

23. The computer implemented method of claims 22, further comprising creating alerts based on the state information.

24. The computer implemented method of claim 20, further comprising obtaining operating metrics from the RFID edge servers.

25. The computer implemented method of claim 24, wherein the operating metrics are graphically displayed versus time.

26. The computer implemented method of claim 20, wherein the monitor can be used to control the multiple RFID edge servers and the associated RFID readers.
