PHASE TRANSITIONAL ABSORPTION METHOD
First Claim
1. A method for separating a gas from gas mixture by absorbing it with a liquid which is able to selectively absorb the gas, the method comprising:
- Introducing a liquid absorbent into the absorber through an inlet;
said liquid absorbent consists of a plurality of compounds, said compounds that reacts with the absorbed gas is activated agent, said compound that do not react with the absorbed gas are solvents, the activated agent and the solvent form a solution;
Introducing the gas mixture into the absorber through an inlet, allowing the liquid absorbent to absorb the gas and to convert it into absorbed gas;
Allowing absorbed gas to react with said activated agent in liquid absorbent to form new compound where said new compound is separated out from liquid absorbent and forms new liquid phase, the gas rich phase;
Separating the gas rich phase with the gas lean phase, solvent;
Cycling the solvent back to the absorber;
Regenerating the gas rich phase in regeneration column;
Collecting the gas from the gas rich phase in the regeneration column; and
Cycling the activated agent back to absorbent.

Abstract
The present invention is directed to an improved method and system for separating and purifying gas using gas-liquid absorption. According to this invention, the method is carried out in an absorber, where a liquid absorbent, a gas mixture containing a gas to be absorbed were introduced from an inlet. During absorption, the second liquid phase was separated out from the absorbent. The absorbed gas was accumulated in one of liquid phases. After absorption, two liquid phases were separated. One of the liquids with rich absorbed gas was forward to regenerator. After regeneration, the liquid was cycled back to absorber. The liquid phase with lean absorbed gas was back to absorber directly to complete the cycle.
