In another embodiment of the invention, an endoluminal device includes a body having a surface, and a coating disposed on a portion of the surface. The coating includes a transforming growth factor beta receptor antagonist. Another embodiment of the invention provides a method of inhibiting calcification of an endoluminal device. The method includes providing a body including a surface, disposing at least one protein or peptide antagonist of calcification on a portion of the surface, and deploying the body at a treatment site.
