Abstract

In embodiments of the present invention improved capabilities are described for using a mobile communication facility to provide information to users who present a direct identifier to the wireless search platform. A method of providing mobile content relating to direct identifiers may include a user controlling a mobile communication facility to receive input of a direct identifier, and matching information related to the direct identifier input to information related to mobile content, and receiving relevant mobile content, or relevant information relating to mobile content for display on the user'"'"'s mobile communication device display.

Claims

1. A method of providing mobile content relating to direct identifiers comprising:

receiving a direct identifier on a mobile communication facility;

receiving information relating to the direct identifier;

matching the information relating to the direct identifier with information relating to mobile content; and

presenting the mobile content to a display on the mobile communication facility.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the mobile communication facility is a phone.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the direct identifier includes primary source information related to the direct identifier'"'"'s subject.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the primary source information includes a product name.

8. The method of claim 6, wherein the primary source information includes a model number.

9. The method of claim 6, wherein the primary source information includes a serial number.

10. The method of claim 6, wherein the primary source information includes a manufacturer'"'"'s name.

11. The method of claim 1, wherein the direct identifier includes secondary source information related to the direct identifier'"'"'s subject.

14. The method of claim 11, wherein the secondary source information includes a list of product'"'"'s related to the direct identifier'"'"'s subject.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein the relation is based on a category.

16. The method of claim 14, wherein the relation is based on price.

17. The method of claim 14, wherein the relation is based on consumer purchase data.

18. The method of claim 1, wherein the direct identifier is a barcode.

48. The method of claim 1, wherein the direct identifier is a quick response code.

49. The method of claim 1, wherein the direct identifier is a RFID.

50. The method of claim 1, wherein the direct identifier is a UPC code.

56. The method of claim 1, wherein the matching prioritizes the mobile content based at least in part on a relevance to the information relating to the direct identifier.

61. The method of claim 1, wherein the information relating to the direct identifier include at least one mobile website containing information relating to a product description.

67. The method of claim 1, wherein the information relating to the direct identifier includes at least one mobile web site containing information relating to an inventory at an online location.

a first receiving facility adapted to receive a direct identifier on a mobile communication facility;

a second receiving facility adapted to receive information relating to the direct identifier;

a matching facility adapted to match the information relating to the direct identifier with information relating to mobile content; and

a presenting facility adapted to present the mobile content to a display on the mobile communication facility.
