Abstract
A liquid injection and ratio control system is provided for blending an additive into a main flow line at a controlled ratio. The system automatically detects variances in temperature, pressure, and additive concentration and provides compensation thereto. The system also provides for automatic flow detection, calibration responsive to a level gauge, automated data collection, and wireless bi-directional communication.

23. A method for injecting additive to a base fluid comprising the steps of:

a) pumping an additive into a base liquid at a pumping rate;
b) measuring a pressure of an additive-carrying line;
c) measuring a temperature of the additive-carrying line;
d) measuring a varying pressure differential across a fuel filter; and
e) calibrating the pumping rate by accounting for the pressure of the additive-carrying line, the temperature of the additive-carrying line, and the temperature of the base-liquid-carrying line.
