1. A pipe lining method in which a lateral pipe that intersects with a main pipe is lined before lining of the main pipe, comprising the steps of:

  • lining the lateral pipe using a lateral pipe lining material having a flange at one end, which is brought into contact with the peripheral edge of a lateral pipe opening of the main pipe;

    mounting melting means to the flange of the lateral pipe lining material during or after lining of the lateral pipe;

    inserting a tubular start liner into the main pipe past the lateral pipe opening;

    inserting a tubular main pipe lining material impregnated with a curable resin into the start liner past the lateral pipe opening;

    applying a fluid pressure inside the main pipe to bring the main pipe lining material and the start liner into contact with an inner peripheral wall of the main pipe and the flange of the lateral pipe lining material;

    curing the resin in the main pipe lining material to line the main pipe; and

    activating, during lining of the main pipe, the melting means to melt the start liner, thereby integrating the main pipe lining material and the flange of the lateral pipe lining material.
