Abstract

A server connectable to a device through a network is disclosed. The server includes a designation section and a transmission section. The designation section designates a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server. The transmission section transmits an information corresponding to the designated first time interval to the device while the server is being connected to the device.

Claims

1. A server connectable to a device through a network, comprising:

designation means for designating a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server; and

transmission means for transmitting an information corresponding to the designated first time interval to the device while the server is being connected to the device.

2. The server as set forth in claim 1,

wherein the transmission means transmits the information corresponding to the designated first time interval to the device while the device is establishing a communication session with the server.

3. The server as set forth in claim 1,

wherein the designation means designates a second time interval for which the device connects to the server for the first time, and

wherein the transmission means transmits an information corresponding to the designated second time interval to the device along with the information corresponding to the designated first time interval while the server is being connected to the device.

4. The server as set forth in claim 3,

wherein the first time interval is longer than the second time interval.

5. The server as set forth in claim 3,

wherein the transmission means transmits the information corresponding to the designated first time interval and the information corresponding to the designated second time interval to the device while the device is establishing a communication session with the server.

6. A reconnection control method of a server which is connectable to a device through a network and which controls reconnection of the device to the server, comprising:

designating a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server; and

transmitting an information corresponding to the designated first time interval to the device while the server is being connected to the device.

7. A program which causes a computer to function as a server, which is connectable to a device through a network, and which controls reconnection of the device to the server, the program comprising:

a designation section which causes the computer to designate a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server; and

a transmission section which causes the computer to transmit an information corresponding to the designated first time interval to the device while the server is being connected to the device.

8. A record medium on which a program which causes a computer to function as a server which is connectable to a device through a network and which controls reconnection of the device to the server is recorded, the program comprising:

a designation section which causes the computer to designate a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server; and

a transmission section which causes the computer to transmit an information corresponding to the designated first time interval to the device while the server is being connected to the device.

9. A device connectable to a server through a network, comprising:

reception means for receiving an information corresponding to a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server from the server while the device is being connected to the server;

storage means for storing the information corresponding to the received first time interval; and

reconnection execution means for repeatedly reconnecting the device to the server based on the information corresponding to the first time interval stored in the storage means.

10. The device as set forth in claim 9, further comprising:

determination means for determining a predetermined time period shorter than the first time interval,

wherein the reconnection execution means repeatedly reconnects the device to the server at the determined time period within the first time interval.

11. The device as set forth in claim 10,

wherein the determination means determines the predetermined time period by a random number.

12. The device as set forth in claim 9,

wherein the storage means pre-stores a predetermined information corresponding to the first time interval before the device receives the information corresponding to the first time interval from the server for the first time.

13. The device as set forth in claim 9,

wherein the reception means receives an information corresponding to a second time interval when the device connects the server for the first time,

wherein the storage means stores the information corresponding to the received second time interval along with the information corresponding to the received first time interval, and

wherein the reconnection execution means reconnects the device to the server for the first time based on the information corresponding to the stored second time interval.

14. A reconnection method of a device which is connectable to a server through a network, comprising:

receiving information corresponding to a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server from the server while the device is being connected to the server;

storing an information corresponding to the received first time interval; and

repeatedly reconnecting the device to the server based on the information corresponding to the first time interval stored at the storage step.

15. A program which causes a computer to function as a device which is connectable to a server through a network and which is reconnected to the server, the program comprising:

a receive section which causes the computer to receive an information corresponding to a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server from the server while the device is being connected to the server;

a storage section which causes the computer to store the information corresponding to the received first time interval; and

a reconnection execution section which causes the computer to repeatedly reconnect the device to the server based on the information corresponding to the first time interval stored in the storage section.

16. A record medium on which a program which causes a computer to function as a device which is connectable to a server through a network and which is reconnected to the server is recorded, the program comprising:

a receive section which causes the computer to receive an information corresponding to a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server from the server while the device is being connected to the server;

a storage section which causes the computer to store the information corresponding to the received first time interval; and

a reconnection execution section which causes the computer to repeatedly reconnect the device to the server based on the information corresponding to the first time interval stored in the storage section.

17. A server connectable to a device through a network, comprising:

a designation section which designates a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server; and

a transmission section which transmits an information corresponding to the designated first time interval to the device while the server is being connected to the device.

18. A device connectable to a server through a network, comprising:

a reception section which receives an information corresponding to a first time interval for which the device repeatedly reconnects the server from the server while the device is being connected to the server;

a storage section which stores the information corresponding to the received first time interval; and

a reconnection execution section which repeatedly reconnects the device to the server based on the information corresponding to the first time interval stored in the storage section.
