Abstract

An organic light-emitting display device, includes a substrate, a thin film transistor on the substrate, a passivation layer on the thin film transistor, an organic light-emitting diode on the passivation layer and electrically connected to the thin film transistor, a photo sensor between the substrate and the organic light-emitting diode, and a light blocking layer on the passivation layer.

Claims

1. An organic light-emitting display device, comprising:

a substrate;

a thin film transistor on the substrate;

a passivation layer on the thin film transistor;

an organic light-emitting diode on the passivation layer and electrically connected to the thin film transistor;

a photo sensor between the substrate and the organic light-emitting diode; and

a light blocking layer on the passivation layer.

2. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the light blocking layer includes a metal having low reflectivity.

3. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the metal is molybdenum or chromium.

4. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the light blocking layer includes a metal insulator hybrid layer.

5. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the light blocking layer is a single continuous film.

6. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 2, wherein the light blocking layer includes a plurality of discontinuous segments.

7. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the light blocking layer is capable of minimizing light interference absorbed by the photo sensor.

8. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the photo sensor is capable of absorbing light emitted from the organic light-emitting diode and converting the absorbed light into electrical signals.

9. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 6, wherein the electrical signals are capable of controlling luminance of the light generated by the organic light-emitting diode.

10. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the photo sensor is horizontally spaced apart from the thin film transistor.

11. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the organic light-emitting diode has a rear light-emitting structure.

12. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the photo sensor includes, an N-type doping region, a P-type doping region spaced apart horizontally from the N-type doping region, and an intrinsic region between the N-type doping region and the P-type doping region.

13. The organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the organic light-emitting diode includes a first electrode layer, a light-emitting layer and a second electrode layer.

14. A method of manufacturing an organic light-emitting display device, comprising:

forming a thin film transistor on a substrate;

forming a photo sensor on the substrate;

forming a passivation layer on the thin film transistor;

forming an organic light-emitting diode on the passivation layer; and

forming a light blocking layer on the passivation layer.

15. The method of manufacturing an organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 14, wherein forming the light blocking layer includes depositing a metal or an opaque insulating material to a thickness of about 100 angstroms to about 5000 angstroms.

16. The method of manufacturing an organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 14, wherein forming the light blocking layer includes depositing a metal having low reflectivity.

17. The method of manufacturing an organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 14, wherein forming the light blocking layer includes depositing a plurality of discontinuous segments on the passivation layer.

18. The method of manufacturing an organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 17, wherein each predetermined number of segments of the plurality of segments is arranged into a geometrical shape.

19. The method of manufacturing an organic light-emitting display device as claimed in claim 14, wherein forming the light blocking layer includes depositing a single continuous layer on the passivation layer.
