1. A portable device configured to store medical information of a person, the device comprising:
- (a) a data storage configured to store medical information corresponding to the person; and
(b) a program stored within the data storage and configured to, (i) execute in a processor of a generic host system, in response to the device being inserted into a memory reader port of the generic host system, (ii) render a graphical user interface to present the stored medical information on a screen communicatively coupled with the generic host system, (iii) prevent altering of the stored medical information, and (iv) store addition information in the data storage in response to receiving data inputted from the generic host system.
