1. A medical device, comprising:
- an elongate body including a proximal end and a distal end; and
a coil extending along a length of the body between the proximal and distal ends and including a surface having a first edge and a second edge, the first edge extending along a helical path of the coil, wherein the surface of the coil extends at an angle, with respect to a longitudinal axis of the body, from the first edge to the second edge, toward the proximal end of the body, and wherein the first edge of the surface is disposed in close proximity to the body and the second edge of the surface is spaced apart from the body.

Abstract
A coiled member of a medical device extends along a length of an elongate body of the device. A surface of the coiled member extends at an angle, with respect to a longitudinal axis of the body, from a first edge to a second edge, toward the proximal end of the body, such that the first edge of the surface is disposed in close proximity to the body and the second edge of the surface is spaced apart from the body.

11. A medical device, comprising:
-
an elongate body including a proximal end and a distal end;
a coiled wire; and
a coiled fixation strip including a first edge and a second edge, the first edge of the strip being disposed in close proximity to the body and the second edge of the strip being spaced apart from the body, wherein the wire extends adjacent to the fixation strip along a helical path extending along a portion of the body between the proximal and distal ends, and wherein the fixation strip extends at an angle, with respect to a longitudinal axis of the body, from the first edge to the second edge, toward the proximal end of the body. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 15, 16)
