Abstract

A method for use in providing video to a user includes establishing digital video data that includes images shot in relation to a making of content, uploading the digital video data to a server, and sending the digital video data from the server through a network to a client device for viewing by the user. The client device may be configured to allow the user to mark one or more portions of the digital video data for review or deletion. A system for use in providing video to a user is also disclosed.

Claims

1. A method for use in providing video to a user, comprising:

establishing digital video data that includes images shot in relation to a making of content;

uploading the digital video data to a server; and

sending the digital video data from the server through a network to a client device for viewing by the user;

wherein the client device is configured to allow the user to mark one or more portions of the digital video data for review or deletion.

2. A method in accordance with claim 1, wherein the mark for review or deletion comprises a visible indication next to a clip in a displayed listing of clips.

3. A method in accordance with claim 2, wherein the visible indication comprises a colored mark.

4. A system for use in providing video to a user, comprising:

a server, coupled to a network, that is configured to receive uploaded digital video data that includes images shot in relation to a making of content; and

a client device, coupled to the network, that is configured to receive the digital video data from the server and display it for viewing by the user;

wherein the server is configured to send the digital video data from the server through the network to the client device;

wherein the client device is configured to allow the user to mark one or more portions of the digital video data for review or deletion.

5. A system in accordance with claim 4, wherein the mark for review or deletion comprises a visible indication next to a clip in a displayed listing of clips.

6. A system in accordance with claim 5, wherein the visible indication comprises a colored mark.

7. A system for use in providing video to a user, comprising:

a server, coupled to a network, that is configured to receive uploaded digital video data that includes images shot in relation to a making of content; and

a client device, coupled to the network, that is configured to receive the digital video data from the server and display it for viewing by the user;

wherein the server is configured to send the digital video data from the server through the network to the client device;

wherein the client device is configured to display a listing of productions, a listing of production types for a selected production, a listing of dates present for a selected production type, and a listing of clips present for a selected date;

wherein the client device is further configured to allow the user to mark one or more clips for review or deletion.

8. A system in accordance with claim 7, wherein each listing is displayed on a separate screen.

9. A system in accordance with claim 7, wherein the mark for review or deletion comprises a visible indication next to the clip in the displayed listing of clips.

10. A system in accordance with claim 9, wherein the visible indication comprises a colored mark.

11. A system in accordance with claim 7, wherein the client device is further configured so that the digital video data that is provided to it can be remotely administered.
