Abstract

An enabling of a second activity such that a user may participate in the second activity via a gaming device and/or a determining of a duration of time in which the user may participate in the second activity via the gaming device may be based at least in part on an amount of time that the user has participated in a first activity via the gaming device.

Claims

1. An apparatus comprising a computing device operable to:

determine that a user of a gaming device has participated in a first activity via the gaming device for at least a predetermined amount of time, in which the gaming device is further operable to allow the user to participate in at least a second activity; and

enable, based at least in part on determining that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device for at least the predetermined amount of time, the second activity such that the user may participate in the second activity via the gaming device.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, in which the first activity comprises at least one of:

a gambling activity,

a wagering-based activity, and

a lottery-based activity.

3. The apparatus of claim 2, in which the second activity comprises making reservations at a restaurant.

4. The apparatus of claim 1,

in which to determine that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device for at least the predetermined amount of time comprises to determine that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device in a particular area for at least the predetermined amount of time;

and

in which to enable the second activity comprises to enable, based at least in part on determining that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device in the particular area for at least the predetermined amount of time, the second activity such that the user may participate in the second activity via the gaming device.

5. The apparatus of claim 4, in which the particular area comprises a particular casino.

6. The apparatus of claim 5, in which the first activity comprises at least one of:

a gambling activity,

a wagering-based activity, and

a lottery-based activity.

7. The apparatus of claim 6, in which the second activity comprises making reservations at a restaurant.

8. An apparatus comprising a computing device operable to:

determine an amount of time that a user of a gaming device has participated in a first activity via the gaming device, in which the gaming device is further operable to allow the user to participate in at least a second activity; and

determine, based at least in part on the amount of time that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device, a duration of time in which the user may participate in the second activity via the gaming device.

9. The apparatus of claim 8, in which the first activity comprises at least one of:

a gambling activity,

a wagering-based activity, and

a lottery-based activity.

10. The apparatus of claim 8,

in which to determine the amount of time that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device comprises to determine the amount of time that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device in a particular area;

and

in which to determine the duration of time in which the user may participate in the second activity comprises to determine, based at least in part on the amount of time that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device in the particular area, the duration of time in which the user may participate in the second activity via the gaming device.

11. The apparatus of claim 10, in which the first activity comprises at least one of:

a gambling activity,

a wagering-based activity, and

a lottery-based activity.

12. A method comprising:

determining that a user of a gaming device has participated in a first activity via the gaming device for at least a predetermined amount of time, in which the gaming device is further operable to allow the user to participate in at least a second activity; and

enabling, based at least in part on determining that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device for at least the predetermined amount of time, the second activity such that the user may participate in the second activity via the gaming device.

13. The method of claim 12, in which the first activity comprises at least one of:

a gambling activity,

a wagering-based activity, and

a lottery-based activity.

14. The method of claim 13, in which the second activity comprises making reservations at a restaurant.

15. The method of claim 12,

in which determining that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device for at least the predetermined amount of time comprises determining that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device in a particular area for at least the predetermined amount of time;

and

in which enabling the second activity comprises enabling, based at least in part on determining that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device in the particular area for at least the predetermined amount of time, the second activity such that the user may participate in the second activity via the gaming device.

16. The method of claim 15, in which the particular area comprises a particular casino.

17. The method of claim 16, in which the second activity comprises making reservations at a restaurant.

18. An method comprising:

determining an amount of time that a user of a gaming device has participated in a first activity via the gaming device, in which the gaming device is further operable to allow the user to participate in at least a second activity; and

determining, based at least in part on the amount of time that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device, a duration of time in which the user may participate in the second activity via the gaming device.

19. The method of claim 18, in which the first activity comprises at least one of:

a gambling activity,

a wagering-based activity, and

a lottery-based activity.

20. The method of claim 18,

in which determining the amount of time that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device comprises determining the amount of time that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device in a particular area;

and

in which determining the duration of time in which the user may participate in the second activity comprises determining, based at least in part on the amount of time that the user has participated in the first activity via the gaming device in the particular area, the duration of time in which the user may participate in the second activity via the gaming device.
