Abstract

An IP telephone repeater includes a first communication portion connected to an internet IP telephone network, a second communication portion connected to a local area IP telephone network, and a call controller which supplies, upon receipt of an incoming call via the first communication portion from the internet IP telephone network, a jingle signal to the incoming call and to a plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion, and which supplies a holding tone to the incoming call and supplies the jingle signal to the plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion in the case where a response operation of a non-audio terminal connected to the second communication portion is conducted.

Claims

1. An IP telephone repeater comprising:

a first communication portion connected to an internet IP telephone network;

a second communication portion connected to a local area IP telephone network; and

a call controller which supplies, upon receipt of an incoming call via the first communication portion from the internet IP telephone network, a jingle signal to the incoming call and to a plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion, and which supplies a holding tone to the incoming call and supplies the jingle signal to said plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion in the case where a response operation of a non-audio terminal connected to the second communication portion is conducted.

2. The IP telephone repeater according to claim 1, wherein the non-audio terminal is a device connected to a network which does not enable a telephone call.

3. The IP telephone repeater according to claim 1, wherein the holding tone includes a tone message with respect to the incoming call.

4. An IP telephone repeater comprising:

a first communication portion connected to an internet IP telephone network;

a second communication portion connected to a local area IP telephone network; and

a call controller which supplies, upon receipt of an incoming call via the first communication portion from the internet IP telephone network, a jingle signal to the incoming call and to a plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion, which supplies a telephone call tone to the incoming call to an audio terminal connected to the second communication portion in the case where a response operation of the audio terminal connected to the second communication portion is operated, and which supplies a holding tone to the incoming call and supplies a jingle signal to said plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion in the case where a holding operation from the audio terminal connected to the second communication terminal is conducted.

The IP telephone repeater according to claim 4, wherein the call controller supplies additional information showing that the telephone call is being held, together with the jingle signal, to said plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion in the case where a holding operation is conducted by the audio terminal connected to the second communication portion.

6. An IP telephone repeating system comprising:

a plurality of IP terminals; and

an IP telephone repeater having;

a first communication portion connected to an internet IP telephone network;

a second communication portion connected to a local area IP telephone network to which said plurality of IP terminals are connected; and

a call controller which supplies, upon receipt of an incoming call via the first communication portion from the internet IP telephone network, a jingle signal to the incoming call and to a plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion, and which supplies a holding tone to the incoming call and supplies the jingle signal to a plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion in the case where a response operation of a non-audio terminal connected to the second communication portion is conducted.

7. The IP repeater system according to claim 6, wherein the non-audio terminal is a device which is connected to a network which does not enable a telephone call.

8. The IP repeater system according to claim 6, wherein the holding tone includes a tone message with respect to the incoming call.

9. An IP telephone repeating system comprising:

a plurality of IP terminals; and

an IP telephone repeater having;

a first communication portion connected to an internet IP telephone network;

a second communication portion connected to a local area IP telephone network to which said plurality of IP terminals are connected; and

a call controller which supplies, upon receipt of an incoming call via the first communication portion from the internet IP telephone network, a jingle signal to the incoming call and to a plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion, which supplies a telephone call tone to the incoming call and to an audio terminal connected to the second communication portion in the case where a response operation of the audio terminal connected to the second communication portion is operated, and which supplies a holding tone to the incoming call and supplies the jingle signal to said plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion in the case where a holding operation is conducted by the audio terminal connected to the second communication portion.

The IP telephone repeating system according to claim 9, wherein the call controller supplies additional information showing that the telephone call is being held, together with the jingle signal, to said plurality of terminals connected to the second communication portion in the case where a holding operation is conducted by the audio terminal connected to the second communication portion.

11. An IP telephone repeating method between a terminal of an internet IP telephone network and a terminal of a local are IP telephone network, the method comprising:

supplying a jingle signal to an incoming call and to a plurality of terminals on the local area IP telephone network upon receipt of the incoming call from the internet IP telephone network;

supplying a holding tone to the incoming call in the case where a response operation of a non-audio terminal of the local area IP telephone network is conducted; and

supplying a jingle signal to said plurality of terminals of the local area IP telephone network.

12. An IP telephone repeating method between a terminal of an internet IP telephone network and a terminal of a local area IP telephone network, the method comprising:

supplying a jingle signal to an incoming call and to an audio terminal of the local area IP telephone network upon receipt of the incoming call from the internet IP telephone network;

supplying a telephone call tone to the incoming call in the case where a response operation of the audio terminal of the local area IP telephone network is conducted;

supplying a telephone call tone to a plurality of terminals of the local area IP telephone network;

supplying a holding tone to the incoming call in the case where a holding operation from the audio terminal of the local area IP telephone network is conducted; and

supplying a jingle signal to said plurality of terminals of the local area IP telephone network.
