Abstract

A device may include an image display component to display an image that includes a subject, where the image has a header portion, and to display subject information that includes a communication identifier related to the subject, and wherein the subject information is stored in the header portion. The device may include a transceiver to contact the subject via the communication identifier. The device may include a processor to provide the image and the subject information to the display component, to receive a request to contact the subject, to retrieve the communication identifier from the header portion, and to send the communication identifier to the transceiver to cause the transceiver to contact the subject.

Claims

1. A device, comprising:

an image display component to;

display an image that includes a subject, where the image is related to an image file having a header portion, and

display subject information that includes a communication identifier related to the subject, and wherein the subject information is stored in the header portion;

a transceiver to;

contact the subject via the communication identifier; and

a processor to;

provide the image and the subject information to the display component,

receive a request to contact the subject,

retrieve the communication identifier from the header portion, and

send the communication identifier to the transceiver to cause the transceiver to contact the subject.

2. The device of claim 1, further comprising:

a camera to;

capture the image in response to a user input.

3. The device of claim 1, wherein the communication identifier comprises a name, a telephone number, an email address, an instant messaging address, an Internet protocol address, or a residential address.

4. The device of claim 1, wherein the header portion comprises a header, a start frame, a start segment, a marker, or a tag.

5. The device of claim 1, wherein the transceiver contacts the subject by dialing a phone number, sending an email to an email address, or sending an instant message to an instant messaging address.

6. The device of claim 1, wherein the processor receives the request in response to a voice prompt, a control key signal, a keypad signal, or a touch-sensitive display signal.

7. The device of claim 1, wherein the processor receives a selection indicator that selects the subject prior to providing the instruction.

8. The device of claim 1, wherein the device receives the subject information from a user or another device.

9. The device of claim 1, wherein the device comprises:

storage to;

store the subject information in the header portion.

10. The device of claim 1, wherein the transceiver sends the image and the subject information to a destination automatically or based on a request from a remote device.

11. A mobile terminal, comprising:

a transceiver to;

receive an image that includes subject information stored in a header of the image, where the subject information is related to a subject appearing in the image, and where the image is received from a remote device, and

establish a communication session with the subject based on a communication request, where the communication request is generated based on the subject information;

a display to;

display the image and the subject information; and

a processor to;

read the subject information from the header,

provide the subject information and the image to the display, and

generate the communication request in response to a user input where the user input is produced based on content of the image or the subject information.

12. The mobile terminal of claim 11, comprising:

a camera to;

capture a second image; and

wherein the processor further;

relates second subject information to a header of the second image,

retrieves the second subject information from the header, and

generates a second communication request based on the retrieved second subject information, where the second communication request is used to establish a second communication session with a second subject.

13. A wireless device, comprising:

means for maintaining an image catalog comprising a plurality of images;

means for displaying one of the plurality of images containing a subject and subject information that is related to the subject;

means for receiving the subject information, where the subject information is retrieved from a header portion of the one of the plurality of images, and wherein the subject information further comprises communication information; and

means for communicating with the subject using the communication information.

14. A method, comprising:

receiving an image comprising a header;

retrieving subject information from the header, where the subject information identifies a subject or contact information for the subject;

displaying the image and the subject information via a display on a wireless device;

selecting the subject information based on the displaying; and

establishing, based on the selecting, a communication session with the subject using the contact information.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein the receiving further comprises:

receiving the image from a camera; and

wherein the method further comprises;

receiving the subject information via a remote device, a user input, a local database, a remote database, a local application, or a remote application.

16. The method of claim 14, further comprising:

sending the image and the subject information to a remote device during the communication session.

17. A method, comprising:

capturing an image;

creating an image file comprising a data portion and a header portion;

storing, automatically, the image in the data portion and subject information in the header portion, where the subject information identifies the user and includes a phone number, email address, or instant messaging address; and

sending the image file to a destination via a wireless link to allow a destination device to contact the user via the subject information in response to displaying the image data on the destination device.

18. A method, comprising:

capturing an image;

creating an image file comprising a data portion and a header portion;

retrieving subject information from an application, where the subject information comprises a subject name and subject contact information and is related to a subject in the image;

storing the image via the data portion;

storing the subject information via the header portion; and

establishing a communication session with the subject based on the subject contact information, where the subject contact information is read from the header prior to the establishing.

19. The method of claim 18, wherein the retrieving further comprises:

retrieving the subject information from a local application operating on a wireless device or a remote application that sends data to the wireless device via a wireless link.

20. The method of claim 18, wherein the method further comprises:

displaying the image and the subject information;

producing an instruction in response to a user input; and

wherein the establishing is performed in response to the instruction.
