Abstract
A method and an apparatus for the creation and management of test cases for a device under test (DUT) through a command terminal are provided. The method includes using the command terminal to select the DUT and connecting to the DUT. The method also includes enabling input of a text string through the command terminal to the DUT, the text string includes a command and optionally one or more command parameters. Furthermore, the method for the creation and management of test cases includes storing the command in a data file. The apparatus includes a command terminal to display a command response of the DUT, a panel to display a command execution history, and a connection control to establish a connection to the DUT.
