Abstract

A presentation apparatus stores parts data that includes parts data that includes type, location, and size of component parts that are displayed within a selected screen area, together with a selection rule that depicts the type of the component part that is to change a drawing state when the presentation apparatus is running in a presentation mode. When executing a presentation process, the apparatus selects a component part from the parts data, according to the selection rule, processes the selected screen area by changing an image of the selected component part, and generates the image to be used in the presentation.

Claims

1. A presentation apparatus, possessing, at least, an application mode adapted to performing an operation concerning to the application, and a presentation mode adapted to performing a drawing, comprising:

a first holding unit adapted to hold a parts data that includes at least one of a type, a location, and a size of a component part that is displayed within a selected screen area;

a second holding unit adapted to hold a selection rule that depicts the type of the component part that is to change a drawing state when the presentation apparatus is running in a presentation mode;

a selection unit adapted to select the component part from the parts data according to the selection rule; and

a processing unit adapted to process the selected screen area by changing an image of the component part that is selected by the selection unit, and generate the image to be used in the presentation.

2. The presentation apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising:

a third holding unit adapted to hold a part image of each respective component part of the selected screen area;

wherein

the processing unit generates the image to be used in the presentation by processing the part image of the component part that is selected by the selection unit from among the part image that is held in the third holding unit, and draws the processed part image in the selected screen area, in accordance with the parts data.

3. The presentation apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the processing unit:

captures the selected screen area and acquires a captured image;

generates a mask image by changing the drawing state of a component part that is selected in the captured image by the selection unit;

generates a mask image for the component part other than the component part that is selected in the captured image by extracting a relevant portion from the captured image; and

generates the image to be used in the presentation by drawing the generated mask image in accordance with the parts data.

4. The presentation apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the processing unit generates the image to be used in the presentation by:

generating a mask image by changing the drawing state of the component part that is selected by the selection unit;

generating a transparent mask image for the component part other than the component part that is selected;

generating a background image by drawing the generated mask image in a transparent window in accordance with the parts data; and

laying out the transparent window such that the background image overlaps the selected screen area.

5. The presentation apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the selection rule is set so as to select a component part that receives a user direction to an application window.

A presentation control method of a presentation apparatus possessing, at least, an application mode adapted to perform an operation concerning to the application, and a presentation mode adapted to perform a drawing, that uses a first holding unit adapted to hold a parts data that includes at least one of a type, a location, and a size of a component part that is displayed within a selected screen area, and a second holding unit adapted to hold a selection rule that depicts the type of the component part that is to change a drawing state when the presentation apparatus is running in a presentation mode, comprising the steps of:

selecting the component part from the parts data according to the selection rule; and

processing the selected screen area by changing an image of the component part that is selected by the selection unit, and generating the image to be used in the presentation.

7. The control method according to claim 6, further comprising:

a third holding unit adapted to hold a part image of each respective component part of the selected screen area;

wherein

the processing step generates the image to be used in the presentation by processing the part image of the component part that is selected in the selection step from among the part image that is held in the third holding unit, and draws the processed part image in the selected screen area, in accordance with the parts data.

8. The control method according to claim 6, wherein the processing step:

captures the selected screen area and acquires a captured image;

generates a mask image by changing the drawing state of a component part that is selected in the captured image in the selection step;

generates a mask image for the component part other than the component part that is selected in the captured image by extracting a relevant portion from the captured image capture; and

generates the image to be used in the presentation by drawing the generated mask image in accordance with the parts data.

9. The control method according to claim 6, wherein the processing step generates the image to be used in the presentation by:

generating a mask image by changing the drawing state of the component part that is selected in the selection step;

generating a transparent mask image for the component part other than the component part that is selected;

generating a background image by drawing the generated mask image in a transparent window in accordance with the parts data; and

laying out the transparent window such that the background image overlaps the selected screen area.

10. The control method according to claim 6, wherein the selection rule is set so as to select a component part that receives a user direction to an application window.

11. A control program that causes a computer to execute the presentation control method recited in claim 6.

12. A computer-readable storage medium that stores the control program that causes the computer to execute the presentation control method recited in claim 6.
