1. A wood-type golf club head comprising:

  • a body comprising a sole, a toe wall, a heel wall, an aft-wall, and a front wall having a perimeter, wherein the aft-wall is substantially perpendicular to the heel wall and the toe wall, the body composed of steel;

    a crown composed of plies of pre-preg material;

    wherein the golf club head has a distance, Dhw, ranging from 3.5 inches to 4.0 inches;

    wherein the golf club head has a distance, Dtw, ranging from 3.5 inches to 4.0 inches;

    wherein the golf club head has a distance, Daw, ranging from 4.0 inches to 4.50 inches;

    wherein the crown, the sole, the front wall, the heel wall, the aft wall and the toe wall define a hollow interior;

    wherein the heel wall extends rearward from a perimeter of the front wall a distance of least 50% of the length of the heel wall at an angle of 80 degrees to 90 degrees relative to relative to a plane parallel to the farthest extent of the front wall;

    wherein the golf club head has a volume ranging from 300 cubic centimeters to 500 cubic centimeters, a coefficient of restitution ranging from 0.81 to 0.94, a mass ranging from 180 grains to 215 grams, and a moment of inertia, Izz, about the center of gravity of the golf club head greater than 4000 grams-centimeters squared.
