Abstract

The invention concerns a method for visual indication of the function of wireless receivers where a wireless signal is transmitted to a group of receivers, and where each receiver intermittently flashes a visual indicator when a wireless signal is received, whereby the intermittence and flashing of the visual indicators of the receivers are synchronized.

Claims

1. Method for visual indication of the function of wireless receivers where a wireless signal is transmitted to a group of receivers, and where each receiver intermittently flashes a visual indicator when a wireless signal is received, whereby the intermittence and flashing of the visual indicators of the receivers are synchronized.

2. Method as claimed in claim 1, whereby the wireless signal transmitted to the group of receivers comprise a control signal used by each receiver to control the flashing of the visual indicator.

3. Method as claimed in claim 1, whereby a carrier signal is used as the control signal, and when a carrier signal is detected, each receiver will start a timer used for controlling the flashing of the visual indicator.

4. Method as claimed in claim 3, whereby an FM signal is transmitted to the group of receivers.

5. Method as claimed in claim 1, wherein a LED light is provided and used as the visual indication.

6. Method as claimed in claim 4, whereby the timer used for controlling the flashing of the visual indication is based on the clock of the FM system at each receiver.

Information system comprising a transmitter for wireless transmission of a signal and a group of individual receivers, where each receiver has means for receiving the wireless signal and means for converting the signal to an audio signal which is servable at an individual in a manner perceivable as sound, and where further each receiver comprises means for intermittently flashing a visual indication whenever the wireless signal is received, whereby means are provided for synchronising the intermittence and flashing of the visual indication.

8. Information system as claimed in claim 7, whereby a control signal is provided from the transmitter for controlling the flashing of the visual indication in each receiver.

Information system as claimed in claim 8, whereby the wireless signal comprise a carrier signal, and where a detector is provided such that the carrier signal is detected and whereby further a timer is provided such that the detection of the presence of a carrier signal will initiate the timer which controls the visual indication.

10. Information system as claimed in claim 8, whereby the wireless signal is a FM signal.

11. Information system as claimed in claim 7, whereby a LED light is provided in each receiver as the visual indication.

12. Information system as claimed in claim 10, whereby the timer used for controlling the flashing of the visual indication is based on the clock of the FM system at each receiver.

13. Receiver for receiving a wireless signal where the receiver has means for converting the signal to an audio signal which is servable to an individual in a manner perceivable as sound, and where further the receiver comprises means for intermittently flashing a visual indication when the wireless signal is received, whereby a timer is provided in the receiver for controlling the intermittence of the flashing and where further the timer is adapted to be initiated at the reception of a wireless control signal.

14. Receiver as claimed in claim 13, where the receiver is an FM receiver and where the timer comprises a counter, which is clocked by the FM clock signal.

15. Receiver as claimed in claim 14 where the receiver comprises a detector for detecting the presence of a FM carrier wave and where the detector is adapted to control the initiation of the timer and where an output signal from the timer is facilitated by the detection of the presence of the FM carrier wave.
