Abstract

An electronic apparatus having a display function is able to alter the orientation of an image displayed on a display means for displaying images between a first orientation and a second orientation different from the first orientation. A plurality of operating means are provided at positions symmetrical between disposal positions which take the first orientation as a standard orientation and disposal positions which take the second orientation as a standard orientation.

15. An electronic apparatus having a display function, the apparatus comprising:

a display unit which is rectangular and displays information;

a touch sensor which is located on the display unit;

a tilt sensor which detects a direction of a tilt of the electronic apparatus unit configured to control in real time an orientation of the displayed information based on the tilt direction of the electronic apparatus;

a control unit configured to control in real time an orientation of the displayed information based on the tilt direction of the electronic apparatus;

an operation unit disposed on a line which is perpendicular to a short side of the rectangular display unit and starts and ends in a middle of the short side of the rectangular display unit; and

a camera unit,

wherein the display unit is configured to display an electronic application running on the control unit as displayed information,

wherein the control unit is configured to control the orientation of the displayed information at a time when the control unit runs the application,

wherein the control unit is configured to control the display unit to display a plurality of icons or a menu bar as displayed information, enlarge the displayed information based on a user input on the touch sensor, and scroll up and down displayed information based on a user input on the touch sensor.

16. A method of adaptive display and organization of information on an electronic apparatus based on a tilt direction of the electronic apparatus, the method comprising:

displaying information on a rectangular display unit;

inputting a user input on a touch sensor, which is located on the display unit, and on an operation unit which is disposed on a line which is perpendicular to a short side of the rectangular display unit, and the line starts and ends in a middle of the short side of the rectangular display unit;

detecting the tilt direction of the electronic apparatus in a tilt sensor; and

controlling in real time an orientation of the displayed information based on the tilt direction of the electronic apparatus in a control unit,

wherein the display unit displays an electronic application running on the control unit as displayed information,

wherein the control unit controls the orientation of the displayed information at a time when the control unit runs the application, controls the display unit to enlarge the displayed information based on the user input on the touch sensor, controls the display unit to display a menu bar as displayed information, controls the display unit to scroll up and down displayed information based on the user input on the touch sensor, and controls the display unit to display a plurality of icons as displayed information and each of the plurality of icons represents an electronic application,

wherein the electronic apparatus comprises a camera unit.
