Abstract

Included are systems and methods for providing a personalized directory. At least one embodiment of a method includes receiving a request to view at least one listing, the at least one listing including information related to a plurality of criteria. Other embodiments include providing a display that includes at least a portion of the information, the display further including a user option to store at least a portion of the information in a personal directory.

Claims

1. A method for providing a personalized directory, the method comprising:

receiving a request to view at least one listing, the at least one listing including information related to a plurality of criteria; and

presenting for display at least a portion of the information and a user option to store at least a portion of the information in a personal directory.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving an indication to store at least a portion of the information in the personal directory.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising storing at least a portion of the information in the personal directory.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising providing a user option to determine at least one criteria related to the at least one listing to be stored in the personal directory.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the user option to determine at least one criteria related to the at least one listing to be stored in the personal directory includes at least one of the following:

a name, an address, a telephone number, an email address, and an instant messaging address.

6. The method of claim 4, wherein the user option to determine at least one criteria related to the at least one listing to be stored in the personal directory includes an option to change at least a portion of the criteria associated with the at least one listing.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the option to change at least a portion of the criteria associated with the at least one listing includes a capability to include additional criteria associated with the at least one listing.

8. A computer readable medium for providing a personalized directory, the computer readable medium comprising:

logic configured to receive a request to view at least one listing, the at least one listing including information related to a plurality of criteria; and

logic configured to present for display at least a portion of the information and a user option to store at least a portion of the information in a personal directory.

9. The computer readable medium of claim 8, further comprising logic configured to receive an indication to store at least a portion of the information in the personal directory.

10. The computer readable medium of claim 8, further comprising logic configured to store at least a portion of the information in the personal directory.

11. The computer readable medium of claim 8, further comprising logic configured to provide a user option to determine at least one criteria related to the at least one listing to be stored in the personal directory.

12. The computer readable medium of claim 11, wherein the user option to determine at least one criteria related to the at least one listing to be stored in the personal directory includes at least one of the following:

a name, an address, a telephone number, an email address, and an instant messaging address.

13. The computer readable medium of claim 11, wherein the user option to determine at least one criteria related to the at least one listing to be stored in the personal directory includes an option to change at least a portion of the criteria associated with the at least one listing.

14. The computer readable medium of claim 13, wherein the option to change at least a portion of the criteria associated with the at least one listing includes a capability to include additional criteria associated with the at least one listing.

15. A computing device for providing a personalized directory, the computing device comprising:

logic configured to receive a request to view at least one listing, the at least one listing including information related to a plurality of criteria; and

logic configured to prevent for display at least a portion of the information and a user option to store at least a portion of the information in a personal directory.

16. The device of claim 15, further comprising:

logic configured to receive an indication to store at least a portion of the information in the personal directory; and

logic configured to store at least a portion of the information in the personal directory.

17. The device of claim 15, further comprising logic configured to provide a user option to determine at least one criteria related to the at least one listing to be stored in the personal directory.

18. The device of claim 17, wherein the user option to determine at least one criteria related to the at least one listing to be stored in the personal directory includes at least one of the following:

a name, an address, a telephone number, an email address, and an instant messaging address.

19. The device of claim 17, wherein the user option to determine at least one criteria related to the at least one listing to be stored in the personal directory includes an option to change at least a portion of the criteria associated with the at least one listing.

20. The device of claim 17, wherein device includes at least one of the following:

a personal computer, a laptop computer, a cellular telephone, a handheld computer, and a Personal Digital Assistant.
