Abstract

A backlight source has different luminescence types of electroluminescence devices and coordinates at least one of the arrangement positions and the arrangement spacing of the electroluminescence devices to improve the brightness uniformity of the backlight source and make the mixed light better. Moreover, because of the brightness uniformity promotion, the overall thickness of backlight module can be reduced.

Claims

1. A backlight source, comprising:

at least one first electroluminescence device is adapted to generate a light with a first luminescence type; and

a plurality of second electroluminescence devices disposed around said first electroluminescence device, and said second electroluminescence devices is adapted to generate a light with a second luminescence type, wherein said light with said first luminescence type is substantially different from said light with said second luminescence type, and said light with said first luminescence type and said light with said second luminescence type are substantially complementary each other.

2. The source of claim 1, wherein at least one of said first electroluminescence device and said second electroluminescence device comprises an inorganic electroluminescence device, an organic electroluminescence device, or combinations thereof.

3. The source of claim 1, wherein the ratio of said first electroluminescence device to said second electroluminescence devices comprises one of 1:

4. The source of claim 1, wherein one of said first luminescence type of said first electroluminescence device and said second luminescence type of said second electroluminescence devices comprises a side light type.

5. The source of claim 1, wherein one of said first luminescence type of said first electroluminescence device and said second luminescence type of said second electroluminescence devices comprises an upward light type.

6. The source of claim 1, wherein one of said first luminescence type of said first electroluminescence device and said second luminescence type of said second electroluminescence devices comprises an Lambertian light type.

7. The source of claim 1, wherein one of the maximum luminous intensities of said first electroluminescence device and said second electroluminescence device is located at plus or minus about 70 degrees.

8. The source of claim 1, further comprising an optical film corresponding to said first electroluminescence device and said second electroluminescence devices.

9. The source of claim 1, further comprising a diffuser plate with patterns thereon, and the density of said patterns corresponding to said first electroluminescence device is substantially greater than the density of said patterns corresponding to outside of said first electroluminescence device.

The source of claim 1, wherein the interval between said two adjacent second electroluminescence devices distant from said first electroluminescence device is substantially greater than the interval between said two adjacent second electroluminescence devices adjacent to said first electroluminescence device.

11. The source of claim 10, wherein the horizontal interval of said two adjacent second electroluminescence devices adjacent to said first electroluminescence device is defined as “

16. A backlight source, comprising:

at least one 4×

4 second electroluminescence device array is adapted to generate a bright region over each of second electroluminescence devices and to generate a dark region over and between said two adjacent second electroluminescence devices; and

at least one first electroluminescence device, disposed inside said 4×

4 second electroluminescence device array, and is adapted to generate a bright region distributed over said dark region between the most outer layer of said 4×

4 second electroluminescence device array and the secondary outer layer of said 4×

4 second electroluminescence device array, wherein said first electroluminescence device generates light with a first luminescence type and said second electroluminescence device generates light with a second luminescence type.

17. The source of claim 16, wherein the interval between said two adjacent electroluminescence devices in the inner layer of said 4×

4 second electroluminescence device array is substantially smaller than the interval between two adjacent electroluminescence devices in the outer layer of said 4×

4 second electroluminescence device array.

18. The source of claim 17, wherein the horizontal interval of said two adjacent second electroluminescence devices adjacent to said first electroluminescence device is defined as “

25. The source of claim 16, further comprising an optical film corresponding to said first electroluminescence device and said second electroluminescence devices.

The source of claim 16, further comprising a diffuser plate with patterns thereon, and the density of said patterns corresponding to said first electroluminescence device is substantially greater than the density of said patterns corresponding to outside of said first electroluminescence device.

27. The source of claim 16, further comprising at least one third electroluminescence device disposed between any of said two adjacent electroluminescence devices of said 4×

4 second electroluminescence device array.

28. A display incorporating said backlight source of claim 16.

29. A luminous device incorporating said backlight source of claim 16.

30. A backlight source, comprising:

at least one 2×

2 second electroluminescence device array is adapted to generate a bright region over each of second electroluminescence devices, and to generate a dark region over and between said two adjacent said second electroluminescence devices; and

at least one first electroluminescence device, disposed inside said 2×

2 second electroluminescence device array, and is adapted to generate bright region distributed over said dark region between the most outer layer of said 2×

2 second electroluminescence device array and the secondary outer layer of said 2×

2 second electroluminescence device array, wherein said first electroluminescence device generates light with a first luminescence type and said second electroluminescence device generates light with a second luminescence type.

31. The source of claim 30, wherein the interval between said two adjacent electroluminescence devices in the inner layer of said 2×

2 second electroluminescence device array is substantially smaller than the interval between two adjacent electroluminescence devices in the outer layer of said 2×

2 second electroluminescence device array.

32. The source of claim 30, wherein at least one of said first electroluminescence device and each of said second electroluminescence device comprises an inorganic electroluminescence device, an organic electroluminescence device, or combinations thereof.

33. The source of claim 30, wherein one of said first luminescence type and said second luminescence type comprises a side light type.

34. The source of claim 30, wherein one of said first luminescence type and said second luminescence type comprises an upward light type.

35. The source of claim 30, wherein one of said first luminescence type and said second luminescence type comprises an Lambertian light type.

36. The source of claim 30, wherein one the maximum luminous intensities of said first electroluminescence device and said second electroluminescence device is located at plus or minus about 70 degrees.

37. The source of claim 30, further comprising an optical film corresponding to said first electroluminescence device and said second electroluminescence devices.

38. The source of claim 30, further comprising a diffuser plate with patterns thereon, and the density of said patterns corresponding to said first electroluminescence device is substantially greater than the density of said patterns corresponding to outside of said first electroluminescence device.

39. A display incorporating said backlight source of claim 30.

40. A luminous device incorporating said backlight source of claim 30.

41. The source of claim 30, further comprising at least one third electroluminescence device disposed between any of said two adjacent electroluminescence devices of said 2×

2 second electroluminescence device array.
