1. A child car seat, comprising a base (12, 31, 604, 72) and a seat (11) pivoting in relation to said base (12, 31, 604, 72) in such a way as to assume at least two positions:

  • an utilisation position, in which said seat (11) is facing the road, and in which the locking means comprising a locking element (14, 34, 601, 73) affixed to the upper part of backrest (111, 33, 602, 74) of said seat (11) and a locking element (21, 32, 603, 71) affixed to said base (12, 31, 604, 72) are locked together,at least one installation position, in which said seat (11) is turned towards the door of a vehicle, and in which said locking elements are unlocked,characterised in that the first (32, 601, 71) of said locking elements has at least two guiding surfaces including;

    a frontal guiding surface (325, 6011, 715, 716) cooperating with at least one mobile part (342, 343, 603, 73) of the second of said locking elements, when said seat (11) moves from said utilisation position via movement of said backrest (111, 33, 602, 74) in a direction significantly perpendicular to said backrest (111, 33, 602, 74),a lateral guiding surface (321, 322, 323, 324, 6012, 6013, 711, 712) cooperating with at least one of said mobile parts (342, 343, 603, 73), when said seat (11) moves to said utilisation position via movement of said backrest (111, 33, 602, 74) in a significantly parallel direction to said backrest (111, 33, 602, 74),said guiding surfaces being configured to bring said locking elements into the locked position as soon as said seat (11) is in said utilisation position.
