Autofluorescent imaging and target ablation
First Claim
Patent Images
1. An untethered device comprising:
- a first optical energy source configured to function in a lumen and configured to provide electromagnetic energy selected to induce an auto-fluorescent response in one or more target cells in proximity to the lumen;
a first sensor configured to detect the auto-fluorescent response;
control circuitry coupled to the first sensor and responsive to identify a target area; and
a second energy source responsive to the control circuitry and configured to emit energy selected to at least partially ablate the target area.

125. A method for detecting and ablating a target area comprising:
-
providing an untethered device to a lumen of a subject;
providing from the untethered device electromagnetic energy selected to induce an auto-fluorescent response in one or more target cells in proximity to the lumen;
detecting the auto-fluorescent response using a sensor in the untethered device;
