Abstract

A method and system for managing a recycling entity is included. The method includes obtaining entity data associated with at least one entity. The at least one entity is operable to recycle a quantifiable measure of recyclable material. The method also includes obtaining resource data associated with resources associated with carrying out recycling, applying the entity data and the resource data to a model for determining an allocation of the resources so as to form at least one record, and generating, as a function of the at least one record, reports for allocating the resources.

Claims

1. A method for managing a recycling entity, the method comprising:

obtaining entity data associated with at least one entity, wherein the at least one entity is operable to recycle a quantifiable measure of recyclable material;

obtaining resource data associated with at least one resource associated with carrying out recycling activities;

applying the entity data and the resource data to a model for determining an allocation of the resources so as to form at least one record; and

generating, as a function of the at least one record, reports for allocating the resources.

The method of claim 1, wherein the model comprises rules for any of or any combination of parsing the entity and resource data into at least one record, sorting the entity and resource data in the at least one record, and performing operations on the entity and resource data in the at least one record.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein obtaining the entity data comprises:

obtaining the entity data via data-acquisition unit associated with the at least one resource.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein obtaining the resource data comprises:

obtaining the resource data via a user interface associated with an administrator.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the model comprises a plurality of records, and wherein applying the entity data and the resource data to a model comprises:

transferring between the plurality of records at least a portion of any of or any combination of the entity data and resource data.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the resource data has a granularity has granularity to a level associated with the entity.

8. The method of claim 6, wherein the recycling data has granularity to a level associated with the entity.

The method of claim 6, wherein the model comprises rules for any of or any combination of parsing the entity, recycling and resource data into at least one record, sorting the entity, recycling and resource data in the at least one record, and performing operations on the entity, recycling and resource data in the at least one record.

10. The method of claim 6, wherein obtaining the entity data comprises:

obtaining the entity data via data-acquisition unit associated with the at least one resource.

11. The method of claim 6, wherein obtaining the resource data comprises:

obtaining the resource data via a user interface associated with an administrator.

7. A method for managing a recycling entity, the method comprising:

obtaining entity data associated with at least one entity, wherein the at least one entity is operable to recycle a quantifiable measure of recyclable material;

obtaining resource data associated with resources associated with carrying out recycling activities;

obtaining recycling data associated with the quantifiable measure of recyclable material;

applying the entity data, the resource data and the recycling data to a model for determining an allocation of the resources so as to form at least one record; and

generating, as a function of the at least one record, reports for allocating the resources.

12. An apparatus for managing a recycling entity, the apparatus comprising:

memory adapted to store executable instructions to;

obtain entity data associated with at least one entity, wherein the at least one entity is operable to recycle a quantifiable measure of recyclable material;

obtain resource data associated with resources associated with carrying out recycling activities;

apply the entity data and the resource data to a model for determining an allocation of the resources so as to form at least one record; and

generate, as a function of the at least one record, reports for allocating the resources; and

a processor adapted to obtain from the memory and to execute the executable instructions.

13. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the model is formed using a database management system.

The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the model comprises rules for any of or any combination of parsing the entity and resource data into at least one record, sorting the entity and resource data in the at least one record, and performing operations on the entity and resource data in the at least one record.

15. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the executable instructions to obtain the entity data comprise:

executable instructions to obtain the entity data via a data-acquisition unit associated with the at least one resource.

16. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the executable instructions to obtain the resource data comprise:

executable instructions to obtain the resource data via a user interface associated with an administrator.

17. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the model comprises a plurality of records, and wherein the executable instructions to apply the entity data and the resource data to a model comprise:

executable instructions to transfer between the plurality of records at least a portion of any of or any combination of the entity data and resource data.

18. The apparatus of claim 12, wherein the resource data has a granularity has granularity to a level associated with the entity.

19. An apparatus for managing a recycling entity, the apparatus comprising:

memory adapted to store executable instructions to;

obtain entity data associated with at least one entity, wherein the at least one entity is operable to recycle a quantifiable measure of recyclable material;

obtain resource data associated with resources associated with carrying out recycling entities;

obtain recycling data associated with the quantifiable measure of recyclable material;

apply the entity data, the resource data and the recycling data to a model for determining an allocation of the resources so as to form at least one record; and

generate, as a function of the at least one record, reports for allocating the resources; and

a processor adapted to obtain from the memory and to execute the executable instructions.

20. A tangible computer accessible medium comprising program instructions, wherein the program instructions are computer-executable to implement:

obtaining entity data associated with at least one entity, wherein the at least one entity is operable to recycle a quantifiable measure of recyclable material;

obtaining resource data associated with resources associated with carrying out recycling;

applying the entity data and the resource data to a model for determining an allocation of the resources so as to form at least one record; and

generating, as a function of the at least one record, reports for allocating the resources.
