Abstract

A method for configuring a telecommunications system including a plurality of entities communicating data via a plurality of transport channels. The entities include at least one sending entity and receiving entity. The communication includes a plurality of processing procedures specific to the plurality of transport channels. Each processing procedure includes a rate matching step including a transformation of an input block of an initial size into an output block of a final size by puncturing and/or repetition. The method includes transmitting a parameter representative of a maximum puncture rate. The method also includes calculating by the sending entity, for each processing procedure, the final size of the output block as a function of the initial size of the input block based on the parameter transmitted. Some input block bits are punctured or repeated based on a variation between a final size and an initial size in the rate matching step.

Claims

1. A method for configuring a telecommunication system comprising a plurality of entities implementing a phase of communicating data conveyed by a plurality of transport channels, said entities comprising at least one sending entity and at least one receiving entity, said phase of communicating of said sending entity comprising a plurality of processing procedures, said plurality of processing procedures being specific to said plurality of said transport channels, each of said processing procedures comprising a rate matching step, characterized in that said method comprises:

a step of calculating, by said first entity, for each of said processing procedures, said final size of said output block obtained after said rate matching step as a function of said initial size of said input block on a basis of a criterion, said criterion being dependent on a parameter representative of a rate matching ratio for each of said processing procedures;

said rate matching step of executing a transformation of an input block of an initial size into an output block of a final size; and

a transmitting step, by said first entity, of transmitting the data transformed in the rate matching step via said physical channel to another of said entities, referred to as a second entity.

2. The method for configuring a telecommunication system according to claim 1, further comprising:

a receiving step of receiving, by said second entity, the data transmitted in the transmitting step.

3. The method for configuring a telecommunication system according to claim 2, further comprising:

a step of calculating, by said second entity, a variation between said final size of said output block and said initial size of said input block.

A method for configuring a telecommunication system comprising a plurality of entities implementing a phase of communicating data conveyed by a plurality of transport channels, said entities comprising at least one sending entity and at least one receiving entity, said phase of communicating of said sending entity comprising a plurality of processing procedures, said plurality of processing procedures being specific to said plurality of said transport channels, each of said processing procedures comprising a rate matching step, characterized in that said method comprises:

a step of calculating, by said first entity, for each of said processing procedures, said final size of said output block obtained after said rate matching step as a function of said initial size of said input block on a basis of a criterion, said criterion being dependent on a first parameter and a second parameter, wherein said first parameter is representative of a rate matching ratio for each of said processing procedures, and said second parameter is a maximum value of a third parameter obtained based on said first parameter; and

a transmitting step, by said first entity, of transmitting the data transformed in the rate matching step via said physical channel to another of said entities, referred to as a second entity.

5. The method for configuring a telecommunication system according to claim 4, further comprising:

a receiving step of receiving, by said second entity, the data transmitted in the transmitting step.

6. The method for configuring a telecommunication system according to claim 5, further comprising:

a step of calculating, by said second entity, a variation between said final size of said output block and said initial size of said input block.

A method for configuring a plurality of transport channels of a Code Division Multiple Access type telecommunication system, wherein said Code Division Multiple Access type telecommunication system comprises at least one first entity and at least one second entity, a phase of communication from said second entity having a plurality of processing procedures specific to said plurality of transport channels, each of said processing procedures having a rate matching step, said rate matching step executing a transformation of an input block of an initial size into an output block of a final size, characterized in that said method comprising the steps of:

calculating, by said second entity, for each of said transport channels, an intermediate size Y′

_i of said output block based on said rate matching parameter, said initial size of said input block and a maximum puncture rate;

determining, by said second entity, said final sizes of said output blocks, said final size of said output block for a transport channel i being calculated on a basis of a maximum payload (N_JSEL) of a multiplexing frame and a ratio of a partial sum

executing, by said second entity, a corresponding rate matching step, for each of said transport channels, by puncturing or repeating at least one bit of said input block on a basis of said final size of said output block;

multiplexing, by said second entity, said output blocks on said multiplexing frame; and

transmitting, by said second entity, said multiplexing frame on which said output data blocks are multiplexed.

8. The method for configuring a telecommunication system according to claim 7, further comprising:

receiving, by said 1st entity, said multiplexing frame transmitted by said first entity.

9. The method for configuring a telecommunication system according to claim 8, further comprising:

calculating, by said first entity, a variation between said final size of said output block and said initial size of said input block.

A method for configuring a telecommunication system, said telecommunication system comprising a plurality of entities implementing a phase of communicating data conveyed by a plurality of transport channels, said data of said transport channels being multiplexed into at least one multiplexing frame, said data being rate-matched by transforming an input data block of an initial size (Xi) into an output data block of a final size (Yi),

characterized in that said method comprises:

a step of calculating, by one of said entities, said final size (Yi) of said output data block, according to said initial size (Xi) of said input data block, said first parameter (Eq), a second parameter and a maximum payload (N_JSEL) of said multiplexing frame, said first parameter parameter (Eq) being relative to a rate matching ratio (Yi/Xi) and said second parameter representative of a maximum puncture rate;

a step of executing, by one of said entities, a transformation of an input block of an initial size (Xi) into an output block of a final size (Yi); and

a transmitting step, by one of said entities, of transmitting the data transformed in the rate matching step via said physical channel to another of said entities, referred to as a second entity.

11. The method for configuring a telecommunication system according to claim 10, further comprising:

a receiving step of receiving, by said another of said entities, the data transmitted in the transmitting step.

12. The method for configuring a telecommunication system according to claim 11, further comprising:

a step of calculating, by said another of said entities, a variation between said final size of said output block and said initial size of said input block.

13. A method for configuring a telecommunication system comprising a plurality of entities implementing a phase of communicating data conveyed by a plurality of transport channels, wherein said entities comprise at least one sending entity and at least one receiving entity, a phase of communication of said sending entity comprises a plurality of processing procedures specific to said plurality of transport channels, each processing procedure comprises a rate matching step and said rate matching step executes a transformation of an input block of an initial size into an output block of a final size by at least one of puncturing and repetition, said method further comprising:

a step of calculating, by said sending entity, for each of said processing procedures, said final size of said output block as a function of said initial size of said input block on a basis of a criterion, said criterion being dependent on a first parameter representative of a maximum puncture and a second parameter representative of a rate matching ratio;

said rate matching step of executing a transformation of an input block of an initial size (Xi) into an output block of a final size (Yi) by puncturing or repeating some bits of said input block based on a variation between said final size and said initial size; and

a transmitting step, by said sending entity, of transmitting the data transformed in the rate matching step via said physical channel to another of said entities, referred to as a second entity.

14. The method for configuring a telecommunication system according to claim 13, further comprising:

a receiving step of receiving, by said receiving entity, the data transmitted in the transmitting step.

15. The method for configuring a telecommunication system according to claim 14, further comprising:

a step of calculating, by said receiving entity, a variation between said final size of said output block and said initial size of said input block.
