Abstract

Text analysis devices, articles of manufacture, and text analysis methods are described according to some aspects. In one aspect, a text analysis device includes a display configured to depict visible images, and processing circuitry coupled with the display and wherein the processing circuitry is configured to access a first vector of a text item and which comprises a plurality of components, to access a second vector of the text item and which comprises a plurality of components, to weight the components of the first vector providing a plurality of weighted values, to weight the components of the second vector providing a plurality of weighted values, and to combine the weighted values of the first vector with the weighted values of the second vector to provide a third vector.

Claims

1. A text analysis device comprising:

processing circuitry configured to access a first vector of a text item and which comprises a plurality of components, to access a second vector of the text item and which comprises a plurality of components, to weight the components of the first vector providing a plurality of weighted values, to weight the components of the second vector providing a plurality of weighted values, and to combine the weighted values of the first vector with the weighted values of the second vector to provide a third vector.

2. The device of claim 1 wherein the processing circuitry is configured to access a blend constant and to weight the respective values of the first and the second vectors using the blend constant.

3. The device of claim 2 wherein the processing circuitry is configured to access user input which selects the blend constant.

The device of claim 3 wherein the weighting of the components of the first and second vectors comprises an initial weighting, and the processing circuitry is configured to access user input regarding another blend constant and to subsequently weight the values of the first and second vectors using the another blend constant, and to combine the weighted values of the first and second vectors responsive to the subsequent weighting to provide a fourth vector.

5. The device of claim 4 further comprising a display, and wherein the processing circuitry is configured to control the display to depict a plurality of different visualizations including respective depictions of the text item using respective ones of the third vector and fourth vector.

6. The device of claim 1 wherein the processing circuitry is configured to access a viewpoint indicative of a perspective of interest of a user and to generate one of the first vector and the second vector using the viewpoint.

7. The device of claim 6 wherein the viewpoint comprises an initial viewpoint, and wherein the processing circuitry is configured to access another viewpoint indicative of another perspective of interest of the user and to generate the other of the first vector and the second vector using the another viewpoint.

8. The device of claim 1 wherein the processing circuitry is configured to, generate the first and second vectors using a plurality of measurement bases.

9. The device of claim 1 wherein text item comprises an initial text item, and wherein the processing circuitry is configured to analyze the third vector with respect to other vectors of other text items to associate the initial text item with the other text items.

10. The device of claim 1 wherein the processing circuitry is configured to concatenate the weighted values of the first and second vectors to provide the third vector.

11. An article of manufacture comprising:

media comprising programming configured to cause processing circuitry to perform processing comprising;

accessing a first representation of an initial text item;

accessing a second representation of the initial text item, wherein the second representation is different than the first representation;

combining the first and second representations of the initial text item to form a third representation of the initial text item which is different than the first and second representations; and

using the third representation, processing the initial text item with respect to another text item.

12. The article of claim 11 wherein the processing comprises associating the initial text item with the another text item.

13. The article of claim 11 wherein the combining comprises concatenating components of the first and second representations comprising respective vectors.

14. The article of claim 11 further comprising weighting a plurality of values of the first representation and the second representation before the combining.

15. The article of claim 11 wherein the combining comprises initial combining, and wherein the programming is configured to cause the processing circuitry to perform processing comprising subsequent combining the first and second representations of the initial text item to form a fourth representation which is different than the first, second and third representations.

16. The article of claim 15 further comprising weighting a plurality of values of the first and second representations differently before the initial and the subsequent combinings.

17. The article of claim 11 wherein the first and second representations individually comprise a vector comprising a plurality of components corresponding to a plurality of dimension anchors.

18. A text analysis method comprising:

accessing a first representation of a text item;

accessing a second representation of the text item, wherein the, second representation is different than the first representation; and

analyzing the text item using the first representation and the second representation.

19. The method of claim 18 further comprising combining the first and second representations before the analyzing.

20. The method of claim 18 wherein the first and second representations comprise vectors.

21. The method of claim 20 further comprising weighting a plurality of components of the vectors.

22. The method of claim 21 further comprising concatenating the vectors before the analyzing.

23. The method of claim 18 further comprising weighting a plurality of values of at least one of the first and second representations before the analyzing.

24. The method of claim 18 further comprising:

generating the first representation;

generating the second representation; and

steering the generating of at least one of the first and second representations according to a perspective of interest of a user.

25. The method of claim 24 wherein the steering comprises guiding the generatings to include information regarding a desired text pattern in respective ones of the first and second representations.

26. The method of claim 18 further comprising:

generating the first representation using a first measurement basis; and

generating the second representation using a second measurement basis different than the first measurement basis.

27. The method of claim 18 further comprising displaying information regarding the text item in a visualization using the analysis of the first and second representations.

28. The method of claim 27 further comprising accessing user input, generating a third representation of the text item responsive to the user input, and displaying information regarding the text item in another visualization using the third representation.

29. The method of claim 18 wherein the analyzing comprises associating the text item with another text item using the first and second representations.

30. The method of claim 18 wherein the first and second representations individually comprise a mathematical signature comprising a plurality of values corresponding to a plurality of dimension anchors indicative of content of the text item.

31. The method of claim 18 wherein the accessings and the analyzing comprise accessings and analyzing using processing circuitry.

32. A text analysis method comprising:

accessing a first representation of a text item;

accessing a second representation of the text item;

accessing a blend constant;

weighting at least one of the first and second representations using the blend constant; and

after the weighting, providing a third representation of the text item using the first and second representations.

33. The method of claim 32 further comprising;

changing the blend constant;

reweighting the at least one of the first and second representations using the blend constant after the providing the third representation and after the changing; and

providing a fourth representation of the text item using the first and second representations after the reweighting.

34. The method of claim 33 wherein the changing comprises changing responsive to user input, and further comprising displaying a plurality of different visualizations including the text item using respective ones of the third representation and the fourth representation.

35. The method of claim 33 further comprising analyzing the text item to determine the first and second representations before the providing the third, representation, and wherein the providing the fourth representation comprises providing using the first and second representations determined by the analyzing.

36. The method of claim 32 wherein the representations are indicative of associations of text patterns of the text item with respect to dimension anchors.

37. The method of claim 32 wherein the accessings, the weighting, and the providing comprise accessings, weighting and providing using processing circuitry.
