Abstract

According to an aspect of the invention, there is provided a mobile terminal including: an application processor configured to execute application having first mode and second mode, wherein the first mode includes first number of menus and the second mode includes second number of menus smaller than that of the first mode; a mode selection unit configured to input mode switching instruction; and a transition control unit configured to switch one of the first and second modes to another mode within the same application if the mode selection unit is operated.

Claims

1. A mobile terminal comprising:

an application processor configured to execute application having first mode and second mode, wherein the first mode includes first number of menus and the second mode includes second number of menus smaller than that of the first mode;

a mode selection unit configured to input mode switching instruction; and

a transition control unit configured to switch one of the first and second modes to another mode within the same application if the mode selection unit is operated.

2. The mobile terminal according to claim 1, comprising a setting unit configured to set either one of the first mode and the second mode as a basic mode,

wherein, the application processor activates an application in one of the first mode and the second mode set as the basic mode.

3. The mobile terminal according to claim 1, wherein the application to be activated by the application processor has a first screen corresponding to the first mode and a second screen corresponding to the second mode.

4. The mobile terminal according to claim 1, comprising;

a history memory configured to store order of the applications activated and their corresponding mode sequentially; and

a management unit configured to activate the applications in reverse order stored in the history memory.

5. The mobile terminal according to claim 1, wherein the application processor activate an application in a basic mode responding to an interruption.

6. A method of operating a mobile terminal comprising:

executing an application having first mode including first number of menus and second mode including second number of menus smaller than the number of menus of the first mode;

inputting mode switching instruction; and

switching one of the first and second modes to another mode within the same application if the mode switching instruction has been inputted.

7. The method according to claim 6, comprising:

setting either one of the first mode and the second mode as a basic mode; and

activating an application in one of the first mode and the second mode set as the basic mode.

8. The method according to claim 6, wherein the application to be activated has a first screen corresponding to the first mode and a second screen corresponding to the second mode.

9. The method according to claim 6, comprising:

storing order of the applications activated and their corresponding mode sequentially in a history memory; and

activating the applications in reverse order stored in the history memory.

10. The method according to claim 6, comprising:

activating an application in a basic mode responding to an interruption.
