Abstract

A vacuum cleaner is provided. The vacuum cleaner includes a suctioning nozzle, a height adjusting unit, a manipulating part, a position sensing part, and a display part. The suctioning nozzle suctions air including dust. The height adjusting unit adjusts the height of the suctioning nozzle. The manipulating part manipulates the height adjusting unit. The position sensing part senses the height adjusted by the height adjusting unit. The display part externally displays the height sensed by the position sensing part.

Claims

1. A vacuum cleaner comprising:

a suctioning nozzle suctioning air including dust;

a height adjusting unit adjusting a height of the suctioning nozzle;

a manipulating part manipulating the height adjusting unit;

a position sensing part sensing the height adjusted by the height adjusting unit; and

a display part displaying the height sensed by the position sensing part.

2. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 1, wherein the height adjusting unit comprises:

a cam rotated by the manipulating part; and

a height adjusting part adjusted in height through the rotation of the cam, wherein

the position sensing part comprises a rotating part rotated in connection with the rotation of the cam, and the position sensing part senses information on the rotation of the rotating part to determine a position of the height adjusting part.

3. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 2, wherein the rotating part is coupled to a rotation shaft of the cam.

4. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 3, wherein the suctioning nozzle comprises a mounting part having the position sensing part installed thereon, and the rotation shaft of the cam passes through the mounting part.

5. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 2, wherein the height adjusting unit further comprises:

a rotating member enclosing the cam and rotated by the cam; and

a stopping guide preventing the rotating member rotating in a direction opposite to a direction in which the rotating member is rotated a predetermined angle.

6. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 5, wherein the height adjusting part is integrally formed with the rotating member.

7. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 5, wherein the cam comprises a rotating guide guiding the rotation of the rotating member in the one direction.

8. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 1, wherein the display part incrementally displays the height sensed by the position sensing part.

9. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 1, wherein the display part comprises a light emitting diode or a liquid crystal display.

10. A vacuum cleaner comprising:

a suctioning nozzle suctioning air including dust;

a main body rotatably coupled to the suctioning nozzle;

a manipulating part adjusting a height of the suctioning nozzle;

a cam rotated through manipulation of the manipulating part;

a position sensing part including a rotating part rotating when the cam is rotated and using a rotated degree of the rotating part to sense the height of the suctioning nozzle; and

a display part displaying the height of the suctioning nozzle.

11. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 10, wherein the display part displays different information for each difference in the height of the suctioning nozzle.

12. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 10, wherein the display part comprises a plurality of light emitting diodes, and a number of the light emitting diodes that is illuminated is different for each difference in the height of the suctioning nozzle.

13. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 10, wherein the rotating part is coupled to a rotation shaft of the cam.

14. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 10, further comprising:

a rotating member enclosing a periphery of the cam and rotated by the cam;

a height adjusting part integrally formed with the rotating member, to adjust the height of the suctioning nozzle; and

a stopping guide stopping the rotating member when the rotating member is rotated a predetermined angle in one direction.

15. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 14, wherein the cam comprises a rotating guide formed thereon to rotate the rotating member, and

the rotating member comprises a slot formed therein, the rotating guide disposed in the slot when the rotating member is rotated.

16. A vacuum cleaner comprising:

a suctioning nozzle;

a height adjusting unit adjusting a height of the suctioning nozzle;

a display part displaying the height of the suctioning unit; and

a position sensing part sensing the height of the suctioning nozzle adjusted by the height adjusting unit, and sending the information on the sensed height to the display part, wherein

the display part displays information corresponding to the height of the suctioning nozzle.

17. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 16, wherein the position sensing part comprises a rotating part rotating when the height adjusting unit operates, and senses the height of the suctioning nozzle according to the rotated degree of the rotating part.

18. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 16, wherein the display part comprises a light emitting part displaying the information corresponding to the height of the suctioning nozzle.

19. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 17, wherein the display part comprises a plurality of light emitting diodes, and a number of the light emitting diodes that is lighted is increased according to an increase in the height of the suctioning nozzle.

20. The vacuum cleaner according to claim 17, wherein the display part comprises a liquid crystal display.
