Abstract

This communicator makes it possible for the user to do telephone, facsimile, and data communication at any location. On a pen input device, a space eye 2, a telephone control system, a facsimile control system, and a data transmission system are mounted. All of them are operated by an input pen 55 or the space eye 2. The pen input device is connected to a wireless telephone equipment 7, and can be connected to a desired party through the public communication channel. In order to make the most of the equipment of a GPS user, the GPS user device 8 is connected to the pen input device 3. The current location of the GPS user is found through the GPS user device 8, and the data on the current location is transmitted to the party. Further, to make this communicator usable in any country, it is provided with means to connect it to a wireless telephone network of an individual service area of the country.

Claims

1. A portable communication apparatus comprising:

a housing including a display;

a wireless communication device that capable of wireless connection;

a telephone device connected to the wireless communication device;

a control unit is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, enter data from the wireless communication device, or transmit data through the wireless communication device;

a connection specification storage device capable of storing connection specification information for a plurality of countries;

a coverage unit capable of transmitting connection specification information to the control unit;

2. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the connection specification storage device is a ROM memory.

3. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing data for connecting the telephone device to a wirelesses network in the plurality of countries.

4. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing at least one of radio wave information, frequency information, a protocol, an ID number, and a specification for satellite link.

5. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 1, further including a telephone controller connected to the coverage unit.

6. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the coverage unit is configured to send signals based on data in the connection specification storage device to the telephone controller and the telephone device.

7. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the display is configured to show at least one of the country name, service provider, time, reception status display.

8. A portable communication apparatus comprising:

a speaker;

a microphone;

a wireless communication device that capable of wireless connection;

a control unit is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, enter data from the wireless communication device, or transmit data through the wireless communication device;

a connection specification storage device capable of storing a connection specification for a plurality of countries;

a coverage unit capable of transmitting connection specification information to the control device; and

a display that is capable of showing at least one of a present country name, a service provider name, a present time, and a reception status.

9. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the connection specification storage device is a ROM memory.

10. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing data for connecting the telephone device to a wirelesses network in the plurality of countries.

11. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 8, wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing at least one of radio wave information, frequency information, a protocol, an ID number, and a specification for satellite link.

12. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 8, further including a telephone controller connected to the coverage unit.

13. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 12, wherein the coverage unit is configured to send signals based on data in the connection specification storage device to the telephone controller and the telephone device.

14. A portable communication apparatus comprising:

a wireless communication device that capable of wireless connection;

a control unit is capable of outputting control commands to the wireless communication device, enter data from the wireless communication device, or transmit data through the wireless communication device;

a connection specification storage device capable of storing a connection specification for a plurality of countries;

a coverage unit capable of transmitting connection specification information to the control unit;

a display is configured to show the a service provider name, and a reception status.

15. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 14, wherein the connection specification storage device is a ROM memory.

16. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 14, wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing data for connecting the telephone device to a wirelesses network in the plurality of countries.

17. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 14, wherein the connection specification storage device is capable of storing at least one of radio wave information, frequency information, a protocol, an ID number, and a specification for satellite link.

18. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 14, further including a telephone controller connected to the coverage unit.

19. The portable communication apparatus according to claim 18, wherein the coverage unit is configured to send signals based on data in the connection specification storage device to the telephone controller and the telephone device.
