1. An optical connector comprising a ferrule defining an optical axis and a holding member holding the ferrule, wherein:
- the ferrule includes a flange portion having a positioned portion;
the holding member including;
a first beam portion;
a second beam portion faced to the first beam portion;
a third beam portion adjacent to the first and the second beam portions; and
a fourth beam portion faced to the third beam portion;
at least one of the first and the second beam portions having elasticity;
at least one of the third and the fourth beam portions having elasticity;
at least one of the first and the second beam portions including a contacting portion contacted with the flange portion in an optical axis direction parallel to the optical axis and holding the ferrule;
at least one of the third and the fourth beam portions including a positioning portion engaged with the positioned portion to prevent the ferrule from being rotated.
