Abstract
Systems and methods for purchasing video games access using a mobile communication device are disclosed. The video games can be purchased for a predetermined number of game plays; for a fixed period of time, for example allowing the user to play the game for three days; for a fixed period of time within a longer period, for example, any 3 hour period over the next 3 days. In one embodiment game plays or time can be purchased by sending, and receiving upon request, a mobile communication device message to a predetermined number. In another embodiment a video game can prompt the user to determine if the user would like to purchase more video games plays or time. If the user would like to purchase more video game plays or time a server can send a message to the user'"'"'s mobile communication device.
