1. A method of producing adhered substrates comprising:

  • providing an adhesive composition in the form of a liquid dispersion, the liquid dispersion comprising solid particles of a first component comprising a co-polymer or a terpolymer prepared from monomers including at least ethylene and vinyl acetate and solid particles of a second component comprising a copolymer prepared from monomers including at least propylene and maleic anhydride dispersed in a third component comprising a non-reactive hydrocarbon that is a liquid at room temperature;

    heating and mixing the liquid dispersion at a temperature above about 300°

    F. to form a molten blend;

    disposing the molten blend between the substrates to be adhered to each other; and

    retaining the molten blend between the substrates to be adhered to each other for a set time during which the molten blend cools to form a solid adhesive that adheres the substrates to each other.
