1. A method for a ticketing service to identify and consolidate information on unused tickets, the method comprising the steps of:
- (a) receiving a request from a client to cancel a ticket;
(b) processing the request received in the receiving step;
(c) extracting, from a record of the canceled ticket, data indicative of details of the canceled ticket including, at least, client identification information and ticket source identification information; and
(d) storing the extracted data in an electronic database,wherein the database is linked to an electronic booking tool used by the ticketing service to process client requests, such that, when a record of the client is retrieved using the electronic booking tool, existence of the canceled ticket is identified to a user.
