Abstract

An embodiment of the present invention provides an apparatus, comprising a filter; and a matching network coupled to the filter, the matching network including a plurality of voltage tunable dielectric varactors.

Claims

1. An apparatus, comprising:

a filter; and

a matching network coupled to said filter, said matching network including a plurality of voltage tunable dielectric varactors.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein said filter is a tunable filter.

3. The apparatus of claim 2, further comprising a voltage source supplied to said phase shifter and said matching network.

4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein said voltage source supplying said filter and wherein said voltage source supplying said matching network is controlled by two difference external DC voltage sources.

5. The apparatus of claim 4, further comprising a load coupled to said filter, wherein the impedance of said matching network changes to maximize power transfer to and from said phase shifter.

8. The method of claim 2, further comprising supplying a voltage source to said phase shifter and said matching network.

9. The method of claim 8, further comprising controlling, by two different external DC voltage sources, said voltage source supplying said filter and wherein said voltage source supplying said matching network is.

10. The method of claim 9, further comprising coupling a load to said filter, wherein the impedance of said matching network changes to maximize power transfer to and from said phase shifter.

6. A method, comprising:

using a filter; and

coupling a matching network to said filter, said matching network including a plurality of voltage tunable dielectric varactors.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein said filter is a tunable filter.
