Abstract

A method for managing an interview process of at least one candidate for a job is disclosed. The method includes selecting a list of attributes pertinent to the job and selecting a list of interviewers of the at least one candidate. The method further includes assigning at least one attribute to each interviewer and generating an interview template for each interviewer based on the at least one attribute assigned to each interviewer, wherein an interview template comprises a list of topics to discuss with each candidate. The method further includes scheduling an interview between each interviewer and candidate and allowing each interviewer to submit, via a Web page, feedback describing each candidate'"'"'s competency in each of the attributes based on the interview between each interviewer and each candidate. The method further includes automatically calculating, for each candidate, a first value based on the feedback received from each interviewer.

Claims

1. A method on a computer for managing an interview process of at least one candidate for a job, comprising:

selecting a list of attributes pertinent to the job;

selecting a list of interviewers of the at least one candidate;

assigning at least one attribute from the list of attributes to each interviewer;

generating an interview template for each interviewer based on the at least one attribute assigned to each interviewer, wherein an interview template comprises a list of topics to discuss with the at least one candidate;

scheduling an interview between each interviewer and each candidate;

allowing each interviewer to submit, via a Web page, feedback describing each candidate'"'"'s competency in each of the attributes assigned to the interviewer based on the interview between each interviewer and each candidate; and

automatically calculating, for each candidate, a first value based on the feedback received from each interviewer.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the first step of selecting further comprises:

allowing a user to select, via a Web page, a list of attributes pertinent to the job, wherein a weight is associated with each attribute.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the second step of selecting further comprises:

allowing the user to select, via a Web page, a list of interviewers of the at least one candidate.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein the step of assigning further comprises:

allowing the user to assign, via a Web page, at least one attribute from the list of attributes to each interviewer.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the step of generating further comprises:

generating an interview template for each interviewer based on the at least one attribute assigned to each interviewer and user input submitted via a Web page, wherein an interview template comprises a list of topics to discuss with the at least one candidate.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein the step of allowing further comprises:

allowing each interviewer to submit, via a Web page, feedback describing each candidate'"'"'s competency in each of the attributes assigned to the interviewer based on the interview between each interviewer and each candidate, wherein the feedback comprises any one of four superlative values and a single pass/no pass value.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein the step of calculating further comprises:

automatically calculating, for each candidate, a first value based on the feedback received from each interviewer, wherein the first value is a percentage between one and one hundred based on either the superlative values of the feedback or a combination of the superlative values and the pass/no pass value of the feedback.

8. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

selecting a candidate for the job from the at least one candidate based on the first value calculated for each candidate.

9. A computer program product including computer instructions for managing an interview process of at least one candidate for a job, the computer instructions including instructions for:

selecting a list of attributes pertinent to the job;

selecting a list of interviewers of the at least one candidate;

assigning at least one attribute from the list of attributes to each interviewer;

generating an interview template for each interviewer based on the at least one attribute assigned to each interviewer, wherein an interview template comprises a list of topics to discuss with the at least one candidate;

scheduling an interview between each interviewer and each candidate;

allowing each interviewer to submit, via a Web page, feedback describing each candidate'"'"'s competency in each of the attributes assigned to the interviewer based on the interview between each interviewer and each candidate; and

automatically calculating, for each candidate, a first value based on the feedback received from each interviewer.

10. The computer program product of claim 9, wherein the first instructions for selecting further comprises instructions for:

allowing a user to select, via a Web page, a list of attributes pertinent to the job, wherein a weight is associated with each attribute.

11. The computer program product of claim 10, wherein the second instructions for selecting further comprise instructions for:

allowing the user to select, via a Web page, a list of interviewers of the at least one candidate.

12. The computer program product of claim 11, wherein the instructions for assigning further comprise instructions for:

allowing the user to assign, via a Web page, at least one attribute from the list of attributes to each interviewer.

13. The computer program product of claim 12, wherein the instructions for generating further comprise instructions for:

generating an interview template for each interviewer based on the at least one attribute assigned to each interviewer and user input submitted via a Web page, wherein an interview template comprises a list of topics to discuss with the at least one candidate.

14. The computer program product of claim 13, wherein the instructions for allowing further comprise instructions for:

allowing each interviewer to submit, via a Web page, feedback describing each candidate'"'"'s competency in each of the attributes assigned to the interviewer based on the interview between each interviewer and each candidate, wherein the feedback comprises any one of four superlative values and a single pass/no pass value.

15. The computer program product of claim 14, wherein the instructions for calculating further comprise instructions for:

automatically calculating, for each candidate, a first value based on the feedback received from each interviewer, wherein the first value is a percentage between one and one hundred based on either the superlative values of the feedback or a combination of the superlative values and the pass/no pass value of the feedback.

16. The computer program product of claim 9, further comprising instructions for:

selecting a candidate for the job from the at least one candidate based on the first value calculated for each candidate.

17. A network-enabled server for managing an interview process of at least one candidate for a job, comprising a processor configured for:

providing a user with a Web page for;

selecting a list of attributes pertinent to the job;

selecting a list of interviewers of the at least one candidate;

assigning at least one attribute from the list of attributes to each interviewer;

generating an interview template for each interviewer based on the at least one attribute assigned to each interviewer, wherein an interview template comprises a list of topics to discuss with the at least one candidate;

scheduling an interview between each interviewer and each candidate; and

allowing each interviewer to submit, via a Web page, feedback describing each candidate'"'"'s competency in each of the attributes assigned to the interviewer based on the interview between each interviewer and each candidate; and

automatically calculating, for each candidate, a first value based on the feedback received from each interviewer.

18. The network-enabled server of claim 17, wherein the step of allowing further comprises:

allowing each interviewer to submit, via a Web page, feedback describing each candidate'"'"'s competency in each of the attributes assigned to the interviewer based on the interview between each interviewer and each candidate, wherein the feedback comprises any one of four superlative values and a single pass/no pass value.

19. The network-enabled server of claim 18, wherein the step of calculating further comprises:

automatically calculating, for each candidate, a first value based on the feedback received from each interviewer, wherein the first value is a percentage between one and one hundred based on either the superlative values of the feedback or a combination of the superlative values and the pass/no pass value of the feedback.

20. The computer program product of claim 19, wherein the processor is further configured for:

providing the user with a Web page for selecting a candidate for the job from the at least one candidate based on the first value calculated for each candidate.
