1. A method for minimizing the reactance of a reactive load transducer at a carrier frequency in an amplifier with a power output stage for amplifying a signal, comprising:
- supplying a signal to the power output stage of the amplifier which includes at least one reactive component coupled to the amplifier; and
counteracting transducer reactance at a carrier frequency by interacting the signal with the at least one reactive component.

7. A power amplification system configured for improved efficiency in a parametric loudspeaker system reproducing an amplitude modulated carrier signal that can be used to produce a parametric acoustic output, including a switching power stage that amplifies the modulated carrier signal over one of a carrier frequency and a sideband frequency at a switching frequency that is essentially an integer multiple of the carrier frequency within a frequency tolerance limit that is no greater than the lowest audible frequency of the parametric loudspeaker system.
