Abstract

An apparatus for drying a disposable razor so as to prevent corrosion due to moisture left on such razor. The apparatus comprising a container having a predetermined shape and formed of a predetermined material. The container is designed for holding at least one such disposable razor. There is a base portion of the container, such base portion being removably engageable with a bottom part of the container, such base portion including a foot member and a housing member. A fan is disposed in the housing of such base portion of the container. A screen is disposed in the base portion of the container atop the fan. The apparatus has a power means disposed in one of the housing and the foot member of the base portion of the container for providing power to the fan. A switch means has a first portion disposed on one of the housing and the foot member of the base portion of the container and has a second portion of the switch being in electrical communication with the power means and the fan for controlling the operation of the fan.

Claims

1. An apparatus for drying a disposable razor so as to prevent corrosion due to moisture left on such razor, said apparatus comprising:

(a) a container member having a predetermined shape and formed of a predetermined material, said container member for holding at least one such disposable razor;

(b) a base portion of said container member, said base portion being removably engageable with a bottom part of said container member, said base portion including a foot member and a housing member;

(c) a fan member disposed in said housing member of said base portion of said container member;

(d) a screen member disposed in said base portion of said container member atop said fan member;

(e) a power means disposed in one of said housing member and said foot member of said base portion of said container member for providing power to said fan member; and

(f) a switch means having a first portion disposed on one of said housing member and said foot member of said base portion of said container member and a second portion of said switch means being in electrical communication with said power means and said fan member for controlling said fan member.

2. The apparatus, according to claim 1, wherein said base portion is removably engageable with said container member by one of a threaded means and a friction fit.

3. The apparatus, according to claim 2, wherein said base portion is removably engageable with said container member by means of a friction fit.

4. The apparatus, according to claim 1, wherein switch means is a push button.

5. The apparatus, according to claim 1, wherein said power means is at least one battery.

6. The apparatus, according to claim 5, wherein said power means is two batteries.

7. The apparatus, according to claim 6, wherein said batteries are AA batteries.

8. The apparatus, according to claim 4, wherein said fan operates for a predetermined time when activated by depressing said push button.

9. The apparatus, according to claim 8, wherein said apparatus further includes a timer means for controlling said predetermined time said fan operates when activated.

10. The apparatus, according to claim 9, wherein said predetermined time is 60 seconds.

11. The apparatus, according to claim 1, wherein said predetermined material is one of glass and plastic.

12. The apparatus, according to claim 11, wherein said predetermined mater is plastic.

13. The apparatus, according to claim 1, wherein said predetermined shape of said container member is one of substantially cylindrical and substantially rectangular.

18. The apparatus, according to claim 1, wherein said removable housing member is engageable with said container member by one of a threaded means and a friction fit.

19. The apparatus, according to claim 2, wherein said removable housing member is removably engageable with said container member by means of a friction fit.

14. An apparatus for drying a disposable razor so as to prevent corrosion due to moisture left on such razor, said apparatus comprising:

(a) a container member having a first predetermined shape and formed of a predetermined material, said container member for holding at least one such disposable razor;

(b) a removable housing member engageable with a top of said container member, said housing member having a second predetermined shape.

(c) a fan member disposed in said housing member;

(d) a power means disposed in said housing member for providing power to said fan member;

(e) a switch means having a first portion disposed on said housing member and a second portion of said switch means being in electrical communication with said power means and said fan member for controlling said fan member into on and off positions; and

(f) an opening disposed in a wall portion of said container member for permitting such disposable razor to be placed in said container member.

15. The apparatus, according to claim 14, wherein said apparatus is designed for one of sitting on a shelf of a medicine cabinet and being wall mounted.

16. The apparatus, according to claim 14, wherein said housing member further includes a means for replacing batteries disposed in said housing member.

17. The apparatus, according to claim 16, wherein said means for replacing batteries includes a removable section from a portion of said housing member.

20. The apparatus, according to claim 14, wherein said apparatus further includes a door member for closing said opening disposed in said wall portion of said container member.
