Abstract

A content transmission system has a content sending apparatus for sending content and a content reception apparatus for receiving content sent by the content sending apparatus. The content sending apparatus includes a metadata attaching unit, an execution processing insertion unit, and a data sending unit. The content reception apparatus includes a data reception unit, a metadata analysis unit, and a processing execution unit.

Claims

1. A content transmission system having a content sending apparatus for sending content and a content reception apparatus for receiving content sent by said content sending apparatus, comprising:

said content sending apparatus including

a metadata attaching unit configured to attach information associated with metadata of said content to data of said content,

an execution processing insertion unit configured to insert a description associated with processing to be executed by said content reception apparatus after reception of said content by said content reception apparatus has been completed into metadata to be attached to data of said content, and

a data sending unit configured to send, to said content reception apparatus, said data of said content attached with said metadata with said description inserted by said execution processing insertion unit,

said content reception apparatus including

a data reception unit configured to receive said data of said content attached with said metadata,

a metadata analysis unit configured to analyze said metadata received by said data reception unit, and

a processing execution unit configured to execute processing to be executed after completion of reception of said content on the basis of a result of the analysis by said metadata analysis unit.

2. A content sending apparatus for sending content to a content reception apparatus for receiving said content, comprising:

a metadata attaching unit configured to attach information associated with metadata of said content to data of said content;

an execution processing insertion unit configured to insert a description associated with processing to be executed by said content reception apparatus after reception of said content by said content reception apparatus has been completed into metadata to be attached to data of said content; and

a data sending unit configured to send, to said content reception apparatus, said data of said content attached with said metadata with said description inserted by said execution processing insertion unit.

The content sending apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said execution processing insertion unit inserts, into said metadata, a description associated with processing of making said content reception apparatus execute at least one of copying and moving received data of content to a predetermined recording media.

The content sending apparatus according to claim 2, wherein said execution processing insertion unit inserts, into said metadata, a description associated with processing of making said content reception apparatus delete said data of content upon passing of a predetermined time after completion of reception of said content.

5. The content sending apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the sending of said content is executed as processing of content uploading specified by UPnP as Universal Plug and Play.

6. The content sending apparatus according to claim 5, wherein

said metadata attaching unit attaches said metadata as a part of an XML as Extensible Markup Language statement to be sent to said content reception apparatus in accompaniment with action “

CreateObject”

, and

said execution processing insertion unit generates a description associated with processing to be executed by said content reception apparatus by use of a preset XML tag and inserts the generated description as a part of said XML statement.

7. A content sending method for content sending apparatus configured to send content to said content reception apparatus configured to receive sent content, comprising the steps of:

attaching information associated with metadata of said content to data of said content;

inserting a description associated with processing to be executed by said content reception apparatus after reception of said content by said content reception apparatus has been completed into metadata to be attached to data of said content; and

sending, to said content reception apparatus, said data of said content attached with said metadata with said description inserted in said execution processing insertion step.

8. A computer-readable program for making a content sending apparatus configured to send content to a content reception apparatus configured to receive sent content, comprising the steps of:

controlling for attaching information associated with metadata of said content to data of said content;

controlling for inserting a description associated with processing to be executed by said content reception apparatus after reception of said content by said content reception apparatus has been completed into metadata to be attached to data of said content; and

controlling for sending, to said content reception apparatus, said data of said content attached with said metadata with said description inserted in said execution processing insertion step.

9. A recording media which recorded a program according to claim 8.

10. A content reception apparatus configured to receive content from a content sending apparatus, comprising:

a data reception unit configured to receive data of said content attached with netadata;

a metadata analysis unit configured to analyze said metadata received by said data reception unit; and

a processing execution unit configured to execute processing to be executed after completion of reception of said content on the basis of a result of the analysis by said metadata analysis unit.

11. The content reception apparatus according to claim 10, further comprising:

a processing identification unit configured to identify content of processing to be executed after completion of reception of said content on the basis of a result of the analysis by said metadata analysis unit, wherein said processing execution unit executes said processing to be executed identified by said processing identification unit.

12. The content reception apparatus according to claim 11, wherein

said processing identification unit further identifies a time at which said processing is executed and

said processing execution unit executes said processing to be executed identified by said processing identification unit at said time identified by said processing identification unit.

13. The content sending apparatus according to claim 11, wherein said processing identification unit identifies, as content of said processing to be executed, at least one of copying and moving data of the received content to a predetermined recording media.

14. The content sending apparatus according to claim 11, wherein said processing identification unit identifies, as content of said processing to be executed, processing of deleting data of said content upon passing of a predetermined time after completion of reception of said content.

15. The content sending apparatus according to claim 11, wherein sending of said content is executed by said content sending apparatus as processing of content uploading specified by UPnP.

16. The content sending apparatus according to claim 15, wherein

said metadata analysis unit analyzes a part of an XML statement to be sent to said content reception apparatus in accompaniment with action “

CreateObject”

, and

said processing identification unit identifies content of processing to be executed and a time at which said processing is executed after completion of the reception of said content on the basis of a description inserted as a part of said XML statement, said description generated by use of a preset XML tag.

17. A content reception method for a content reception apparatus configured to receive content sent from a content sending apparatus, comprising the steps of:

receiving content attached with metadata;

analyzing said received metadata; and

executing processing to be executed after completion of reception of said content on the basis of a result of said analysis.

18. A computer-readable program for making content reception apparatus configured to receive content from a content sending apparatus execute content reception processing, comprising the steps of:

controlling for receiving content attached with metadata;

controlling for analyzing said received metadata; and

controlling for executing processing to be executed after completion of reception of said content on the basis of a result of said analysis.

19. A recording media which recorded a program according to claim 18.

20. A content transmission system having a content sending apparatus for sending content and a content reception apparatus for receiving content sent by said content sending apparatus, comprising:

said content sending apparatus including

metadata attaching means for attaching information associated with metadata of said content to data of said content,

execution processing insertion means for inserting a description associated with processing to be executed by said content reception apparatus after reception of said content by said content reception apparatus has been completed into metadata to be attached to data of said content, and

data sending means for sending, to said content reception apparatus, said data of said content attached with said metadata with said description inserted by said execution processing insertion means,

said content reception apparatus including

data reception means for receiving said data of said content attached with said metadata,

metadata analysis means for analyzing said metadata received by said data reception means, and

processing execution means for executing processing to be executed after completion of reception of said content on the basis of a result of the analysis by said metadata analysis means.

21. A content sending apparatus for sending content to a content reception apparatus for receiving said content, comprising:

metadata attaching means for attaching information associated with metadata of said content to data of said content;

execution processing insertion means for inserting a description associated with processing to be executed by said content reception apparatus after reception of said content by said content reception apparatus has been completed into metadata to be attached to data of said content; and

data sending means far sending, to said content reception apparatus, said data of said content attached with said metadata with said description inserted by said execution processing insertion means.

22. A content reception apparatus configured to receive content from a content sending apparatus, comprising:

data reception means for receiving data of said content attached with metadata;

metadata analysis means for analyzing said metadata received by said data reception means; and

processing execution means for executing processing to be executed after completion of reception of said content on the basis of a result of the analysis by said metadata analysis means.
