11. A method for reconstructing an image on a dot matrix printer having a print head assembly, the method comprising:
-
separating the image into a primary series of M (M>
1) mutually interstitial sub-images;separating each sub-image of the primary series into a secondary series of N mutually interstitial sub-images; printing N*M mutually interstitial sub-images; and performing at least a partial curing on the interstitial sub-images;
wherein the printing and curing of at least two of the sub-images belonging to the secondary series of sub-images occurs during the same pass of the print head assembly. - View Dependent Claims (12, 13, 14, 18)

15. A dot matrix printing system for printing an image comprising:
-
a print head assembly arranged to print a sub-image; an image separator arranged to separate the image into a primary series of M (M>
1) mutually interstitial sub-images;an image separator arranged to separate a sub-image of the primary series into a secondary series of N mutually interstitial sub-images; a set of three curing stations arranged to perform partial curing on the interstitial images; and a sequencer arranged to control the print head assembly and the curing stations;
whereinthe sequencer is set up to print and partially cure at least two sub-images derived from the same primary sub-image during the same pass of the print head assembly. - View Dependent Claims (16, 17)
