providing content that includes an advertisement insertion tag to a mobile device; sourcing an advertisement from an advertisement server upon detection of the advertisement insertion tag; transmitting a signal from the mobile device to a mediation facility of the mobile media platform that includes information about the served advertisement; and associating the information about the served advertisement with a mobile media data record that is used to at least one of capture and normalize transaction information regarding the provision of the tagged content so that advertisement revenue may be shared.
