Abstract

An alarm system includes a detector arranged in connection with a holster for carrying a force instrument, the detector detecting, if the force instrument is removed from the holster; information on the situation is produced on the basis of the identification and relayed to the user'"'"'s control room so that a message is relayed to the communication unit of the user of the force instrument, the communication unit relaying the message further to the control room via a base station. The detector is adapted to detect the existence of the force instrument in the holster, its missing from or its movement out of or into the holster. A detector-cpu is adapted to receive a signal or message from the detector and forms at least part of the contents of the message on the basis of the signal or message, the detector-cpu being adapted to control the communication unit to transmit the message.

Claims

1. An alarm system, which is provided with a detector (10) for detecting a force instrument (1), the associated detector (10) with a holster (2) intended for carrying a force instrument (1) the detector (10) detecting if the force instrument (1) is removed from the holster (2);

information on the situation is produced on the basis of the said identification and relayed to the user'"'"'s control room (40), characterised in that a message (15) is relayed to the means of communication (20) of the user (5) of the force instrument, the means of communication relaying the message (25) further to the control room (40) via a base station (30).

2. The alarm system according to claim 1, characterised in that the system includes a detector-cpu (11), which receives the signal or message (15) produced by the detector (10) and forms a message and/or control command, which is understood by the means of communication (20).

3. The alarm system according to claim 2, characterised in that the detector-cpu (11) is programmable and/or configurable in a desired way, which is, for example, specific to a task, user or user group.

4. The alarm system according to claim 1, characterised in that the message (25) may contain information, such as “

how the situation progresses”

5. The alarm system according to claim 4, characterised in that the message (25) contains classification or identification information on the force instrument (1) in question, for example, a deadly or non-deadly force instrument (1), or the identification information on the force instrument (1).

6. The alarm system according to claim 1, characterised in that the detector-cpu (11) controls the means of communication (20) to transmit the message (25).

7. The alarm system according to claim 1, characterised in that the alarm system is adapted to make use of the message properties of a data communications network used by the means of communication (20), such as a Tetra, Tetrapol or P25 network.

8. The alarm system according to claim 1, characterised in that the message (25) is in text format, such as a SDS message.

9. The alarm system according to claim 1, characterised in that the message (25) may contain information (16) formed by the detector-cpu (11) and information (21) formed by the means of communication (20).

10. An alarm device, characterised in that it contains:

a detector (10) fitted into or in a connection with the holster (2) of a force instrument, the detector (10) being adapted to detect the existence of the force instrument (1) in the holster (2), or if the force instrument is missing or being moved out of or into the holster (2);

a detector-cpu (11) adapted to receive a signal or message (15) from the detector (10), the detector-cpu (11) being adapted to form at least part of the contents of the message (25) on the basis of the signal or message (15) and to control the means of communication (20) to transmit the message (25).

11. The alarm device according to claim 10, characterised in that the connection between the detector (10) and the detector-cpu (11) is either wired or wireless.

12. The alarm device according to claim 10, characterised in that the connection between the detector-cpu (11) and the means of communication (20) is either wired or wireless.

The alarm device according to claim 10, characterised in that the detector-cpu (11) is fitted into, for example, a separate monophone, headset, transmission button or similar auxiliary device of the means of communication (20), or into a connector for an auxiliary device of the above-mentioned devices, which is connected to the means of communication (20).

14. The alarm device according to claim 10, characterised in that the detector-cpu (11) is fitted in a connection with the holster (2) of the force instrument (1), integrated into the means of communication (20), or it is separate.

15. The alarm device according to claim 10, characterised in that the force instrument (1) belongs to the group of hand guns, pistols, or other weapons.

16. The alarm device according to claim 10, characterised in that the force instrument (1) belongs to the group of pepper sprays, tear gas spray, electrical paralyzers, or other stunning devices.

17. The alarm device according to claim 10, characterised in that the detector-cpu (11) is adapted to request positioning data, such as GPS coordinates from the means of communication (20).

18. The alarm device according to claim 10, characterised in that the detector-cpu (11) can be programmed and/or configured, for example, specific to a task, user or user group.
