Abstract

The present invention relates to contact list with means to attach memo to contact list entry. Memo comprises of one or more of data, voice, image, and video files. Memo is displayed on communication device when corresponding contact list entry is activated, such as when contact list entry is selected to initiate outgoing communication; and when incoming communication is received from entity corresponding to contact list entry. Present invention provides users means to remember desired conversation points at the time communication is initiated with an entity.

Claims

1. Contact list in communication device having;

1) multiple contact list entry having means to input and save contact information;

     2) means to record memo into contact list entry;

     3) means to display memo when corresponding contact list entry is activated.

2. The contact list of claim 1;

wherein contact information comprises of one or more of name, physical address, phone, fax, email, and web site URL.

3. The contact list of claim 1;

wherein memo comprises of one or more of data, voice, image, and video files.

4. The contact list of claim 1;

wherein memo display means comprises of display of data and image files.

5. The contact list of claim 1;

wherein memo display means comprises of play back of audio and video files.

6. The contact list of claim 1;

wherein memo is automatically displayed on communication device at the time contact is initiated from corresponding contact list entry.

7. The contact list of claim 1;

wherein memo is automatically displayed on communication device when communication is received from entity corresponding to contact list entry.

8. Email contact list comprising of multiple contact list entries;

each contact list entry having;

     1) data field for email address;

     2) data field for memo;

     3) display means for memo upon activation of corresponding contact list entry.

9. The contact list of claim 8;

wherein memo comprises of one or more of data, voice, images and video files.

10. The contact list of claim 8;

wherein memo display means comprises of display of data and image files.

11. The contact list of claim 8;

wherein memo display means comprises of play back of audio and video files.

12. The contact list of claim 8;

wherein memo is automatically displayed at the time corresponding contact list entry is activated by user for outbound email.

13. The contact list of claim 8;

wherein memo is automatically displayed when incoming email is received from corresponding entity.

14. The contact list of claim 8;

wherein memo is automatically displayed when user response is initiated to email received from entity in contact list entry.

15. A method to remind user of task comprising the steps of, 1) saving task information with contact information in contact list of communication device;

and

     2) display of task information in communication device upon activation of corresponding contact information.

16. The task reminder method of claim 15;

wherein task list comprises of one or more of data, voice, image, and video files.

17. The task reminder method of claim 15;

wherein task list display means comprises of display of data and image files.

18. The task reminder method of claim 15;

wherein task list display means comprises of play back of audio and video files.

19. The task reminder method of claim 15;

wherein task list is automatically displayed on communication device at the time contact is initiated from corresponding contact list entry.

20. The task reminder method of claim 15;

wherein task list is automatically displayed on communication device when communication is received from entity corresponding to contact list entry.
